Forum Rules | 1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule. |

| Luka would like me to let everyone know that he’s a big baby and needs lots of love and smooches because he’s such a good boy and that Mia is a big meanie for spraining his paw/wrist/anatomically-correct-name-of-joint yesterday while they played outside. Hed also like to inform everyone that no husky ever ever ever has ever had a more hurt paw than him and he deserves extra treats.
In all seriousness he’ll be fine. Mia is super rough when she plays outside and her favorite game is to run full speed into Lukas flank to knock him over. I’ve always told the husband that it was a matter of time before one of them got hurt. Well. TA DAAAA sprained wrist. He’s being pretty good about staying off of it but as we all know that won’t last long with how insane huskies are haha. He’s putting some weight on it but if he catches you looking at him he hams it up and pretends he’s dying. ???? As I speak he’s playing with his nerf football and happily holding it with said paw. The vet just wants us to keep an eye on it for now.
Sooo. What are the most ridiculous playtime injuries your dogs have sustained? Baby is sleeping so I’m creeping the boards! ????

| I thought Kye had been killed or close once. Don't think it was even a sprang. Think he stubbed his toe, but like many males I know that's like amputation without anesthesia or child birth. They were outside playing on the back porch, I was inside, and heard the most horrible wailing scream AHHAHHAHAHAHHAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!! is what it amounted to at the top of his lungs. Rush out thinking he and kenzi have gotten into it and she's killing him. She's sitting on the other end of the porch looking at him like he's lost his mind. Kye is still screaming with his paw lifted up. I check him over (with him still screaming in my ear) and nothing. It moves fine, nothing broken, no tender spots. He finally stops. I massage his ears for a little bit and then open the door for him to go inside and he doesn't even limp. I assume a stubbed toe or rolled ankle and it just scared him but after the screaming he did he could have at least faked a limp as he went into the house. _________________ |

| Hahaha, I work at a doggie daycare. I told my boss, I TOLD her that huskies are drama queens. But she didn't believe until she was moving my dog and her dog into a different yard and he stepped on her foot..she proceeded to cry and not put weight on it and freak out. As soon as she saw me...no limp, offended paw completely forgotten. My boss was flabbergasted AND she's owned a doggie daycare for 12 years and taught me everything I know. |
