Took Kohdi and Mishka to the beach today. This was Mishka's first time on a beach! She had fun. These boulders were what she was most interested in though, she climbed them as soon as we got there, I think there's crabs or something living in them so she was out to find them, lol.

Thanks Mike, they do have a great time. There was a couple dogs that even brought my two toys so they would play with them, it's pretty cute.

Looks like everyone had a good time. Got to run around without daddy hanging on all the time, too!!

Misty, my first Husky loved the beach (or pond or pool or ... well, anything wet!) The only way I could get her out of the water was to look like I was going to drive off and leave her - that got her attention.

@aljones not *all* the time, Al, but until we are all used to the place, I won't be comfortable letting them get too far from me.

Thank you Ronin! As you know though, the weather has sucked, LOL, so I'd have loved to been there longer with them but it just gets too hot, too early! Next time I'll park closer so I don't have to calculate in our walking time in the heat.

So...back when I bought Mishka her harness, I remember the lady who fitted her harness saying Mishka was always in launch mode, even when standing still. I know what it looks like being behind her, but until I got this pic, never knew what it looked like from the outside...this is how Mishka stands still...on a leash.

Pics from another HOT week. MUCH cooler this weekend though...

The white things are some kind of flying bug, small like gnats but not pesky like gnats, hundreds of them though and yet I only know they are around in certain light, but they are all over. I even see them flying up out of the grass when Kohdi walks across it.


Here you can see them dead on top of the water. Pool filter removes them when its running and I also see hummingbirds plucking them out of the air

Thanks Graham Kohdi was actually pretty comfortable, he was doing that thing Ive seen all dogs do where they look like they're sleeping but every once in awhile, open their eyes, and then their eyes slowly blink their way back to being closed. Pic just happened to be as he was opening his eyes.
