Hello everyone!
I have Lexie since she was 7 weeks and I recently noticed that my 6 and a half month girl started peeing in her crate something that she never done before.
I’m working all day and she is closed in the room during a day with an open crate and free access to the training pads which she is using very well. Plus my neighbour friend walks her out daily around lunch times.
But I think accidents happened at night time because I just changed her blanket yesterday after work and today in the morning a different blanket was wet. When she was smaller I used to lock the crate in the night but for the last month and a half I keep the crate door closed but unlocked to give her an access to her training pads or sleep out of crate if she wants to i just closed the room door.
I cleaned and sparyed the crate area very well and wash immediately the blanket but spills continue to occur!
Maybe someone know or familiar with the situation?????

Thank you for your advice or feedback  Smile  

Have you talked to a Vet? You could be dealing with a bladder infection or a UTI. Other health issues may play a factor also, so I would definitely talk to a vet if it continues.

Do you have any idea if she's getting up and going in her crate, or is it just happening during sleep? That can be an important factor.

Is she spayed, and if so, how long ago? Hormonal imbalances can be an issue that causes this.

Hi, thank you for your response.
All the peeing in crate started about 3 and half weeks ago. And it wasn’t every day just here and there. But I was curious as to why it’s suddenly even happened. She actually did get spayed on Feb 1/18 and I thought that this could be a reason but she had few more spills prior to the surgery therefore I wasn’t 100% that the surgery was the cause.
She is going to the crate at night and i close the door but not locking it, to give her an opportunity to go to training pad in the room if she wants. Cause when i'm back in the evening from work training pads are wet.
If it's continiously happens i will for sure go to Vet for consulting!
