Change of ownership papers came through today! So I guess he is officially ours. Not that I would have let him go anywhere either way. It is nice to know that I can stop stressing about needing to fight for him or having someone swoop in and try to take him away.
A small rant, I know I am preaching to the choir and I know this happens far too often but I am still bitter.
I have been trying to get in contact with his breeder for six weeks now. No luck. Email, tracked her down on Facebook. Tried to hunt up her number from previous owners and no luck.. She never sent down papers and has pulled all contact from the original purchaser.
His birthdate on his rego / microchip / vet record does not match. Nor does his name. My guess is she never transferred the ownership into the buyers name either.
Going off the rough birthdates and e rough idea of when he arrived here. He was flown down to his previous home a day or two before he turned 7 weeks old. ( This would explain the different birth dates, can't fly dogs here unless they are at least 8 weeks old ). Would also explain some of his behaviours.
She has no photos, info about anything anywhere. I have spent hours every day hunting down anything I can find. All I have is her name, home town and a three year old sale post with two puppy photos. ( Meaning she has been doing this for years ).
Obviously I agreed to take him in regardless, but I wouldn't mind knowing at the very least who his parents are. The total and utter lack of regard is outstanding.
In any case, he is mine now...... (What the hell have I signed on for?!
)
And just because every post needs a photo. He fell asleep holding on to his teddy.
