| Bodhi had a lump removed from his back on December 15th. His fur is not growing back evenly. Some spots are bald. Any suggestions on how to encourage fur growth? |

| Are there any hair follicles on the skin or is it all scar tissue? I'm gonna guess if it's scar tissue, there won't be regrowth. But... It does look like there's a couple of hair follicles in the picture. |

| Id try biotin and putting olive oil or vit e topical on the spot to minimize the scar as much as possible. Biotin might make his nails grow faster though |

| I took a closer look at the picture in support of @amymeme's comment. It looks to me like that's all healthy skin, not scar tissue, so it's just a matter of time. Just glancing through Husk-Owners it looks like anything from a couple of months to several months for normal hair regrowth depending on the reporter. Sasha had hair clipped from her leg so they could get to a vein to draw blood and has "crew cut" style hair over the area at about one month. _________________ “Properly trained, a man can be dog’s best friend.” Corey Ford . |

| It's not scar tissue and I can see some faint hair follicles on parts of what looks like bald spots below the incision line. The shaved place on his leg where the IV was inserted during the procedure has completely grown back with hair. |

The shaved place on his leg where the IV was inserted during the procedure has completely grown back with hair. Maybe tag Jennifer - she's had several growths removed in her pups, may be able to give you more first hand experience. |

| Yeah, @jbealer would be a good resource. My experience is the longer hair always takes longer than the shorter leg hair does to regrow but it also seems the older they get the harder it is to regrow. They shaved a spot on kenzi's neck a few months ago when she went in and that still hasn't regrown. Starting to worry that it won't due the diabetes. _________________ |

| Hi - Our pup Aspen had to have a patch on her back saved for a hot spot - the hair did not grow back for over a year. Don't worry too much - it will grow back. its common for Husky's to have slow under-coat regrowth. |

| Have you tried fish oil or salmon oil? That’s what our vet recommended for our 12 year old girl to help with fur regrowth. |

| He's been on salmon oil since forever.
Bodhi's vet recommended melatonin 2X a day. She said that in spring, the dog's natural melatonin surges and that should help too.
We'll see. |
