| Hi guys, I'll be switching kibbles soon. Just wanna ask which is better? Option A: Acana Six Fish Option B: TOTW High Prairie Puppy Currently I've been using Acana Large Breed Puppy. (a lil bit afraid of HD and skeletal disorders). I'm also topping it with some Go! Salmon wet food (+water=gravy). If you have other suggestions that would be great. Goku, male, is currently 4 months old approx. 10kg and 16 inches at withers (will he be about the standard size guys?) |

| Clarification please. In the US, Orijen makes the 6 fish formula - wondering if you've been looking at dog food for so long that you've misplaced the name. The other thing to note is that since early 2016, Acana has been manufacturing in a US plant as well as a Canadian plant. Given the quality, I seriously doubt that there are significant differences, but it might help others to know which plant manufactured your Acana (er, if it's really Acana not Orijen)
From what I see, Acana, Orijen and TOTW are all excellent dog foods - you have a lucky pup there to get such a choice. _________________ “Properly trained, a man can be dog’s best friend.” Corey Ford . |

| @alijones, sorry! i meant orijen haha. If i remember correctly, my supply was from Alberta, Canada (Acana Large Breed pup).
I'm also looking into Canidae Pure Sea however its only available in Adult variant. |

| Hi Kevin, like Al said all of the foods Acana, Orijen, Taste of the Wild and Canidae are excellent foods. In general I have noticed that orijen is just too rich for puppies, so probably my last choice out of all of them, simply because your pup is under a year, and tummies can have issues at the puppy age. So any of them are great picks. My only thing I will say is that huskies are not large sized breeds, they are medium, so they do not need large breed puppy nor large breed adult food. Your pups size seems to be fine. If both parents are very large so say over 60 pounds then I may be cautious, but to be honest huskies are not prone to hip and joint issues, especially if the breeder did OFA hip testing on the breeding pair, the SHCA states that huskies are on the low end for hip issues, so you can feed standard puppy food and adult food or you can also feed an all life stage food. |

| Thank you Guys, just really wanna make sure that this guy is right on track. I'll empty first acana LBP then switch to Acana Pacifica. Then perhaps TOTW for the rotational feeding. |

| The rotational diet is a great way to avoid issues as adults with allergies, and yes you are on the right track! The only thing I would do is a slow transition between different manufacturers, as in at least 1-2 weeks, so you can avoid tummy issues. Within the same manufacturer I have never had any issues switching proteins and have never done slow transitions. |

| I'll keep that in mind. Big thanks! Anyone knows if acana pacifica and TOTW is appealing to pups? (smell/taste etc) I'm thinking lying low with Go! Salmon Pate as gravy. I've tasted acana LBP (yes, i tasted it ) and its much like paper mache or something. hahaha |
