Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

I'm a new husky owner of a Siberian, American mix named Koda. I have 2 children and a trucker husband and can use any helpful tips and advice offered. So far we are a crate fail but well potty trained with a nippy but good pup. I used to own Dalmatians and am used to high energy puppies. Looking forward to getting to know everyone and more understanding of my pup.

I would rather re-do Marine Corps Boot Camp than crate training with Zhukov again. Welcome aboard and get ready for a wild ride with your new pup!

Thanks guys and i appreciate it. I'm considering getting another dog for Koda to play with to see if his playnipping people will be fixed. Those puppy teeth are way sharper than I'd remembered. (I'm also trying to figure out how to put a picture up but this is pretty new for me being on forums)

I love his markings. It's hard to say if his coat will change much. Some will when that puppy coat sheds off but each dog is different. His markings will probably change more than the actual consistency of his fur.

Having a playmate is a great way to teach. Either taking him to doggy daycare if old enough and/or setting up play dates with other dogs you know is a great way teach good socialization without taking on the task of bringing up and training two young rambunctious dogs at the same time.

Just about time for round 2 of the walkies. Ugh...it would be soooo much better if I could walk them together bom

Welcome! My tip to you is to out stubborn your husky. That might help with your crate training as well. Just tell yourself when he cries, "it's for his own good, it's for his own good..." Smile

go to "host a picture" in the tool bar above ^ (looks like a monitor with a floppy disk above it) Click on it.
Select your picture (s) to post.
Click "send all"
wait for it to load (green bar will fill)
click insert all
Voila! Picture in the message! might wanna preview it to see what you are actually posting first. With multiple pics, you might wanna insert spaces between them!

I can't believe that the pup in your picture is the one who's causing you all that grief. Shoot, she look perfectly well behaved there.
