| So, the wife and I were sitting in the living room watching Zhukov's antics. You know the type of antics I am talking about... The whipping around of his head as he plays with his toys... the zooming... the staring at nothing in the corner of the room (atleast I hope there is nothing there...) the way he lays on the floor with his legs splayed out like he is a starfish... But, let's talk about the WEIRD things that they do. Zhukov will pick out all the vegetables out of his food. He eats them, but he eats them last.... Just like my son did at 4 years old. His feet smell like corn chips.... I mean they smell just like Fritos! Not his body. Not his head. Not his mouth. Not his butt. His feet...... they smell like Fritos fresh out of the bag... I could understand it if we fed him Fritos. However, we don't have Fritos in the house! You know how they nibble on themselves if there is an itch? He does that to Colby. On top of his head. Like he knows Colby has an itch and just can't reach it on his own. Colby just stands there like nothing is going on. He doesn't bite him (well... not unless Colby has his toy or his treat) he just nibbles on him like he is chewing on fleas or something... I love this breed, but let's be honest, they are quite possibly the weirdest dogs on the face of the Earth. |

| That's adorable! Kairo is definitely a weirdo. My favorite thing by far is the way she tosses her body around while obeying her commands - a rather simple "down" becomes a show of dance skill complete with head toss and "you know you love this" look on the face.
Kairo also tries to hide her paws from Ember, who likes to chew on them. Kairo's dad plays this "Got your paw" game with her, so she naturally tucks them in or draws them up when Ember goes for them. However, Ember will simply go for the next closest one, and Kairo doesn't think to put the first foot down before drawing up the second. So therefore Ember gets landed on full husky body weight.
The Fritos thing is an all dog thing! I love to smell Ember's feet. And for Ember, it's 3 of her 4 paws - one actually doesn't carry the smell.
What you may not know is that the reason they smell like that is because that's where they sweat from. It's gross if you think about it, but doesn't stop me from taking a whiff when Ember paws at my face.
Dogs have a pleasant BO if you are into Fritos! |

| Luka tries to sneak up on things. Like nobody can see or hear him. Just like a toddler he tiptoes. Even when his target sees can clearly see him. He also plays fetch. He also likes to sit on top of your feet if you're in the kitchen.
Mia's pretty normal. The only thing she does is mather our guinea pigs. |

Dogs have a pleasant BO if you are into Fritos! Cool fact! I had no idea. The reason I thought it was so strange is that Colby's feet don't smell like anything! Weird! Pretty sure that my wife wishes that my BO smelled like Fritos.... |

We call it "flea biting" as in Ami is "flea biting" on Archer...or us! Its the pack grooming behavior. And sort of a love bite. But the other day, Ami was happy to see me after I had been gone a bit and was "flea biting" on me like crazy. And, damn! On bare human skin, that can HURT! I had a short sleeve shirt on and he got the skin on the inside of my upper arm. That ain't gonna' happen again, I'll tell you that!!! Oh - and that fetch thing? Ami runs like mad after I throw something, gets there looks at it, looks at me and then, gives me a look that says "come and get it, throw it again so I can run" |

| New cute/fun/weird thing that I realized Luka does. We recently took up boxing and set a heavy bag up downstairs but haven't really let the pups down there (Mia was terrified when she saw my husband beating up the bag, so we make sure to keep her out...rescue dogs |

| Allister lives for food. Anya..not so much. She can be a picky princess. Possibly evil.
Sometimes she will not eat her kibble but lay down about 4 feet from her bowl. Allister will lay on his side about 2 feet away staring at her dish longingly. After 10-20 minutes she'll get up and start to eat in front of him. Periodically she will take a kibble out of her dish and drop it in front of Allister and he gobbles it up. Not sure if she is sharing or just torturing the poor guy. |

| Cool thread. Miya's weirdness is her extreme vocabulary, she talks like no other. She also likes to dig the blankets on the bed and the blanket I have on the couch and in the midst of digging will woo. lastly the queen of weird will paw at Sofie to play, it's very cat like and takes her paw and taps Sofie and occasionally a woo afterwards. On a side note with the fritos feet, it is a sign of 1 of 2 things....1) a high grain diet like corn which I do not believe most of us here feed or 2) it is a sign of a yeast issue, you pup may have an allergy or your pups paws do not dry well when wet. I hate being a Debbie Downer, because, well, fritos smells good, but it is something you may want to check on with your vet. |

| Does running thru closed screen doors count as something weird our huskies do? Mishka destroyed the third screen door just a few hours ago Kohdi gets her going to running at full speed, then watches the poor girl go "boom". Gawd I wish I could get a pic of the expression on his face after she hits it. Kohdi...hmm, besides his extreme vocabulary, that goes on and on and on, I guess one weird thing he does is on his walks. Every single husky I've ever had has preferred going the same route on their walks...not Kohdi. What he will do is as we are walking, he starts to lean and walking in the direction he's thinking he'd like to take, all the while looking at me like "come on! Let's go this way!" This past Sunday we were all over the place, lol, it's one of the cutest things to see, especially his face when he gets his way. |
