Doesn't sound like the best supplement to me after looking at the ingredients. Why are you wanting to use a supplement? I'm sure Val will chime in since she's done so much research on the subject. Nupro makes good supplements.

I've never heard of the supplement but just from looking at the ingredients, I would not recommend that one.

Is there a particular reason you are looking for a supplement? I.e. Is there something specific that you want to correct via a supplement or are just wanting to enhance her diet with a supplement?

There are much better supplements than that on the market, actually a good majority of supplements out there marketed for pets are complete junk IMO.

I don't know what supplements you have available to you in the Philippines but I would recommend Nupro and Missing Link. Both are excellent general supplements that can help with allergies, digestion, skin, coat, and in some formulas have joint support as well. Both come in a powder form that you can easily sprinkle over or mix into your dogs food.

I personally use Nupro Silver with Joint Support for my dogs. I prefer the ingredients in Nupro over those in Missing Link, but both are excellent products that I highly recommend to fill in the gaps and compliment any diet whether you feed raw, home cooked, dehydrated/freeze dried, kibble, or canned.

The A1 All Pets, Alpha Dog supplement looks a million times better than the first one you posted. I am not familiar with it either but from just a quick glance at the ingredients it looks decent. However my questions start when you consider the ingredients being used because some of them have not been shown to be of benefit to dogs which begs the question, why is it in there?

I would ask the question again, why is it that you want to supplement? There are other supplements that you can buy if you want to address a specific issues like the skin and coat. Is your puppies diet lacking in a way that you feel it is necessary to add a general supplement?

The second one looks a lot better than the first but I just don't have the time to look up every single ingredient and just from looking up a couple I am already noticing that there is nothing to back up the claims that they will benefit dogs in any way which makes you wonder. I would suggest you do more research of your own on the different ingredients in the supplement to see what you find out about it and whether or not you think it is worth it for you to buy and give to Darla.

I am all for supplementing, but I am also of the mindset that too much of a good thing is a bad thing and that over-supplementation can be worse than not supplementing at all. I'm not saying the Alpha Dog supplement is good or bad, I just can't in good conscience say yay or nay to a product I don't know enough about and that doesn't have enough evidence to back it up.

I am using IN diet and, so far, I am very satisfied with the results it has given. We have Nupro here in our country, but IN Diet is the most populart and top selling supplement here. Also, most vets here recommend IN Diet than Nupro. BUT they recommend IN diet for people who have peoblems with their dogs coats and skin, or if they want to focus on the coat ans skin health + overall health. Vets here recommend Nupro if you want your dog to get a bigger appetite and also the overall health of your dog.
