| I know, it's silly, but I figure I'm probably not the only one And if I am, well then we've just confirmed I'm as nuts as the dog.... I'll start: I have a couple that I sing to little Nut: To the tune of Little Shop of Horrors: Little Pup, Little Pup-a-roni, you're the Pup, you're the Puppy-Doggie |

| Faaaaaaar to many to name. At the moment: to the tune of the Village People's Macho Man,
Nik-O Nik-O Lai.... I wanna eat, your nachos, man...
It works better when you're belting it out as your reheating Mexican food. ;-) Trust me on this.

| To the tune of the Tiki Room song. This one's for Faith by the way... It's the Facey, Facey, Facey, Facey, Facey-poo. It's the Facey, Facey, Facey, Facey, Facey-poo. All the birds sing word and the flowers bloom with the Facey, Facey, Facey, Facey, Facey-poo. Off to hang my head in shame. _________________ |

I don't sing it, but I do always call Dakota my little Pooh Bear. I like to rub my face with his and tell him how much I love my Pooh Bear. Is that embarrasing or what??? |

| I have video somewhere of my husband "playing" my cat, like a little bongo drum. It's really funny. I think he'd just DIE if I posted a video of him singing to the critters though... and I can't say I blame him. I totally sing to them all the time. It's just sort of second nature now. Hahaha...
Today's installment is: To the tune of Ride of the Valkyries (or maybe it's William Tell Overture?)
Where's my dog Who's the dog Love the dog-dog-dog
Hug the dog Pet the dog Kiss the dog-dog-dog
Why the dog What a dog Who's this dog-dog-dog?
... it's my NIIIIIII-KOOOO-LAIIIII!! |

| @Leeandra - BEATLES SONGS ARE SOOOO GOOD! They're in regular rotation in our house, too. Generally any 2-3 syllable lyrics are subbed with Cos-mo or Nik-o-lai and it works. ;-)
We also have a strange obsession with The Simpsons in our house, so Chris will sing stuff to the fuzzies to the tune of "Duff Beer for Meeee, Duff Beer for Yoooou, I'll Have a Duuuuff! You have one tooooo..." or commercial jingles... seriously, our animals are all probably embarrassed to be around us because it's almost constant. ;-) At least they have good name recognition, right? ;-P |

| @ Kate---it's true! When we first adopted Nutmeg, the pound had named her so of course she had NO idea of her name. I actually started alot of it for that purpose. I'd fill 'Nutmeg' in as often as I could when I talked to her, and started every command with her name so she learned it. Also started all praise with it--"Good Nutmeg!" Now, she responds to Nutmeg, Nut, and DOG!!!!! when she's in trouble LOL! It's funny you mention the Simpsons. When I yell at her and I yell DOG!!!!! I hear it like the guy on the SImpsons yells "SKIN-NER!" |

| Oh yes, Superintendent Chomers' voice gets regular use in our house, too... usually "WIFEEEE-YYY!!" *lol* Come to think of it, we sort of sing-song and rip off quotes from stuff for more than half of the communication we have between us... Hopeless, I tell ya... hopeless. |
