| Hey guys! Happy summer!
Lutsen has been enjoying his first summer...mainly trying to find new ways of staying cool...he loves watermelon so thank you to the forum members for that tip!
Yesterday we took lutsen frisbee golfing with us...he had a blast...tons of hills and trails within the frisbee park by our house..after 2 hours he was wiped out! After his bath he could hardly keep his eyes open...i'd say it was a successful workout for him!
How do you guys work out your huskys/keep them entertained? I've found that its an awesome time management wise to incorporate him into our daily activites that we like to do for fun...kills two birds with one stone! |

| Greta, I so agree with you, we do things that we like and include our girls in that activity. Sometimes we jeep ride out to nowhere and either have a run around and a swim. Other times it's a hike and do the same, go swimming and run around. We are lucky also, we have about an acre of land and an industrial strength and large size kiddie pool, so we play, run and chase. And yep, my Sofie adores frisbees, but the brat chewed it up, haha, need to get a new one. |

Love that they can run free like that! Like I've said before Lutsen is very good off leash but I know its a taboo subject around here! Haha atleast Sofie actually retrieves the frisbee! Lutsen is definitely all about the hype not so much the execution...he wants you to throw it but as soon as you do "oh wait...you mean i'm supposed to go fetch that thing?" I've heard that huskies can be like that too...does Miya fetch or is it mostly Sofie? |

| I think Miya has decided it is more fun to fetch Sofie, hahaha. Before Sofie she would play fetch with a ball all day if you could throw a ball all day. She has never cared for a frisbee. In fact Miya is way better at fetching the ball and bringing it back to me than Sofie is. And Sofie will do nose work to find balls, and helps me pick them up before mowing, Miya has better things to do than sniff around for a ball, haha. Sofie gets hot faster than Miya, so normal is to play one round of fetch, run past me drop ball in pool, and then get in the pool, and dig in the pool, Sofie is really high energy right now, she just turned 11 months old. And up until about a month ago, Sofie was pretty mellow, now all of a sudden she has a ton of energy to burn, and Miya at 3.5 years old, is super mellow, lol. |

| We just have to walk Mia-she's super mellow and all her extra energy on playing with Luka... Luka on the other hand is super puppy, and just has endless energy. He literally runs circles thru the house. So many zoomies. That and fetch. He played fetch for two and a half hours yesterday....other than that chasing them thru the backyard and take them on car rides.
Once Lukas big enough we are going to start biking with them in good weather. |

| Walk her in the morning and she's at the dogpark every night at 8p to 9:30p. A lot of pups around her age out so she has a blast and i've made a lot of friends there. |

| We do the dog park twice a week--one of those trips is a dog park at a lake and she swims (she loves it, but she's a terrible swimmer).
We walk outside, early morning and nights.
We play "come" indoors to tucker her out when it's too hot. My husband and I take some of dinner kibbles, sit on either end of a room, and take turns calling her. She sprints back and forth, and we set up obstacles for her to jump for an added challenge.
When it gets just too hot for outside activities (Florida!) we also have a treadmill. |
