Hi guys,
we need to change Milo's dog food to a hypoalergenic type.
I've found the two following and I was wondering if you could have a look and guide me on which one to buy.

Money isn't an issue.

If I recall correctly rosemary can be an issue in food for some dogs. Dogs that are seizure prone or could possibly have seizures or unknown about their likelihood for seizures it is probably best to avoid this ingredient. Akela shows rosemary in their ingredient list. I didn't see it in the Edens, so on that front I would lean toward the Edens. We have some others on here though that are better with in depth reviews of food than I. If you know what your dog is allergic to specifically there maybe other food options also rather than looking for something specifically labeled hypoallergenic.

Ben...I agree with Jenn, the Eden is an excellent food for your dog. And she also gave great info on the issue you are having. Do you know what issue your pup has? Is he allergic to a certain item? having a little bit more info can help.

Yeah I agree it seems to be a good food and got amazing reviews.

Basically...

Milo is almost 9 months old now and we feed him on Skinners Field & trail (junior). We started him off on the puppy version until he was 6 months and he did well, with no issues what so ever.
I'n the last 2/3 weeks he's been sick quite a lot and having diarrhea quite a lot also (every other day or so). We took him to the vets last week and they took a stool sample to search for worms etc but that has come back clear so the vet suggested on changing to a hypoallergenic food. So I've done some digging and them seem to be the best available for us - without the raw option.

So we're a bit lost at the moment haha and knew this would be the best place to come for advice and guidance.

Ben, if what you were feeding before had any grain...corn, wheat, etc, that probably was the issue. I would feed the Eden and give approximately 8 weeks to see how he is doing, if he still has the issue then I would feed a kibble without chicken. To me, typically mushy poop is a sign of a grain diet, most huskies do not do well on grain. So good luck on the Eden looks like a fantastic kibble, and give us an update on how he is doing on it.

omg i can't believe that is the same dog as your avatar...he is soooooo handsome!! yea, I had helped another member about a year ago, so I brushed up on food made in your country, so I am familiar with both that you posted up, but I also feel staying away from rosemary is important. So yep Eden. I know 6-8 weeks seem like a long time, but typically it takes that long for a dog to get used to a new food and know for sure how they are doing on it. thanks for the pic, I just love him.

BTW< Ben, just looked up your old food, and yes it has maize second ingredient third was wheat, so I assume that that is the issue, fourth rice(which isn't as bad), and 6th barley....so it was grain heavy.

He has grown so much from your avatar. Looks great. Can't wait until he feels well to go with it.
