| First of all these forums have been amazing, for helping with some issues with my Nevaeh! I have read and searched about this issue... maybe someone can give me some better insight.
Nevaeh was born December 2nd, had her since she was 8 weeks old. She is an amazing pup, very smart, and luckily we have not had alot of puppy issues. This is my only issue and I feel like I have tried all I can to break it.
She is very attached to me, it's me my husband and teenage son, and room mate in the home. I will put her in the kennel when I leave, which she does well with. As long as no one is in the home she is fairly quiet. She enjoys her kennel for naps and such, so this is not a kennel issue. But as soon as I walk out the door... no matter who is here, she will howl and go crazy until I come back (rather she is kenneled or not) if I just run to the store, and she stays out she howls and paces until I get back. When I leave my son or husband waits for a few takes her for a walk, or play to try to break her attention of me leaving... and it's very short lived! We have tried all of us feeding her, everyone taking her on walks, giving treats etc... as soon as play time is over or the walk is over she is back looking out the window crying/howling until I get back.
I know it's kinda confusing, but I don't know how else to explain it. Has anyone had this issue before? Or any other suggestions we have not tried??
Thank you very much in advance |

| My cat used to do this when she was young. she was fine when she was in her room, but if she was out and I disappeared she would race around the house meowing at the top of her lungs looking for me in a complete panic. She saw me as her mama and attached very heavily to me. Didn't matter if my husband was in the room with her or not. She eventually grew out of it. To an extent Nevaeh will potentially grow out of it too. What are you doing before you leave? Do you have any kind of leaving routine? Do you kennel her at parts through the day even when you are home? Are the main times when your husband or son deal with her when you are leaving or are gone? _________________ |
