Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

Puppy throwing up toy Empty
PostSubject: Puppy throwing up toy   Puppy throwing up toy EmptyThu Feb 11, 2016 8:38 am

Hello all,

New to the forum here. I adopted my 4 month old husky pup, Oakley last week from our local humane society. He was an owner surrender and only at the shelter for 4 or 5 days and was in foster care with one of the volunteers.
Since Ive had him he's been great. He plays, sleeps, eats, poops, pees and is very friendly and curious. The past 48 hours have been interesting as he has thrown up two times, each time throwing up a small plush toy like a little angry bird plush. I do not and have never owned nor seen these toys so I know he got to it before we adopted him which was over a week ago. The humane society said he was crated with his foster so he would not have had free roam so it must be the previous owners.

My real question is if he is acting totally normal should I still be concerned? I am obviously monitoring him but since he seems fine and is eating drinking and going potty, I was going to wait for my already scheduled vet appointment in a week to get him checked out... unless of course he displays any signs of illness in the meantime. What would you all do?

Thanks Smile

Welcome to the forum....As long as your little guy is eating, drinking and pooping normally I would wait. He probably got it out of him. If he starts to have liquid poo, doesn't want to eat and continues with throwing up then he may have a blockage and he must be seen by a vet.

We love pics here, so can not wait to see little Oakley
