Yep Jimmy one day he looks red as in apricot then next red as in dark copper then some days are wolf gray. When he gets wet he has a definite wolf gray look. He has more of a buff or cream under tone than white. And the saddle back area looks dark when you part it.

He is still my little chameleon and can not decide what shade he wants to be when he grows up. And he has not even shade so that should change colors too!

I noticed that! I just looked in the Vlad and Bourbon scrapbook and there I mostly see the reds in him, haha. Bourbon looks great too, I've always liked him. Really great pics in both threads

he dose look a bit gray, Leo did a similar change around the same time as Vlad. he looked like a grayish brown. then he looked like a dark brown.

Week 21 brings us to Vlad and Baylin having conferences about whos toy is whos.

Vlad being naughty and trying to climb into the front seat on Saturday after a open air vendor market event. The sun was making him look so gray but irresistible.

And then on Mother's Day what does a mother do but have a bath and blow out day!!! He likes to eat the air dryer.

Look at those "knobby knees" he has to grow into. The last one really shows of his real coloring.
Vlad is now 20.5 weeks old. We will go in on Wed for a weight check probably.

BONUS POST a comparison: two months apart left is March right is May, notice he is at the crisper in the left and at the next shelf up in the right plus his feet are set back farther in the right too.
The bread on the shelf left is in the same spot in both pictures.

When people talk about Huskies changing colours, I hadn't realized that it could be *that* extreme. From a light blond to a red in a couple of months! That's wild!!!

It's amazing how the lighting plays with his colors! So pretty. I like the conference pic, hahaha.

Wow i cannot believe that color change! Can he get more beautiful? Amazingly gorgeous puppy you have Colleen, he is stunning!

Week 22:
Vlad went last Tuesday with the big kids for shots and he got none. He was just along for the ride and the scale. Vlad was 44 lbs on 5-10 so just under 21 weeks old.
The pictures are from three packs having a playdate and human cookout on Sunday the 15th. So Vlad was 21.5 weeks old.
Ma made me rest up for an afternoon nap!  

I was a good boy at my friends house!

I tackled my little gray litter mate sister.

And made her fall to the ground

It was so much fun

Colleen, Vlad is getting to be a big boy, he is so handsome, and his color is just getting deeper. Looks like he gets a ton of fun with other huskies, that is so nice to see pics of huskies having a good time.

So I almost missed week 23. It was busy...Vlads sister and aunt were over for a sleep over last Saturday.

David he fell asleep with his face in the cushions!!! It is tiring having friends sleep over.

The first pic he *almost* has the look of a malamute! It's so pretty !!! (Handsome ) love that last pic, lol, too cute. He has just grown SO much, I love seeing him change from one week to the next

His color is changing a ton. I am a little surprised by how dark he is getting to the red side. I figured he might get darker but thought it would lean more toward grey or cream.

Week 24:
We did some swimming last Thursday, for the first time and sank like a rock. Then again he is a heavy dude. But he tried a second time still struggled but liked it based on his smile. It was hard to get photos though as I had no life vest for him and he needed assistance. Not bad for only 23weeks old.

Then he had to try and play with the big dogs. (The one in the back on four legs is Bourbon, actually I think he is on three legs I see one in the air!)


And pass out on his way home. Way to cute!


Sunday he was a little elusive husky flower..they are rare you know.


Holiday morning coffee time is the best.

And he played in the kiddie pool with sissy. Yes, Baylin does have a tiny head.

Yesterday I caught him acting crazy in his crate...not the best pictures but I could not resist!



Going to get a weight tonight or tomorrow so that will be  fun update next week to see if he is 50 lbs before his 6 mos birthday!

nice swimming pic too, still haven't set up our pool yet. we have some evening to do before we put it up ( a very furry and fluffy gopher has made some lovely holes hahaha). i was thinking of adding in a step latter to our pool; was wasn't sure which one to get. i was wondering how easy is it for them to use it?
