| Hey guys, I've been wanting to get Mylo one of them nice harnesses from Alpine Outfitters. I'm not interested in the custom one but on the adjustable one. Anyway, I keep holding out in it because Mylo is now practically 40lbs (actually 38lbs) at 1yr old. The medium size harness is for up to 55lbs. Soo I would be very upset if Mylo would outgrow the harness that I paid $60 for. My girlfriend keeps telling me when I'm gonna get it and I keep saying "soon", "soon". We had a petco harness when he was younger but I started to get nervous about it's strength cause I noticed it started ripping. I miss having a harness cause when we go on little runs it's much better on him of course. Should I wait a little longer to see if Mylo goes over 55lbs to get the large size? I honestly don't even see him going over 50lbs but who knows. |

| Dave I am not going to be much help with the harness, although I am thinking he may not reach 55 pounds. What I can see in his tux pic, is that to me his growth plates do not look like they have sealed yet, which means he is a slow grower, and that he should have another growth spurt going upwards. Do you know how tall he is? Adding another inch or two will surely mean he will add weight. Although the plates seal before they completely fill out, some huskies may take up to 3 years before they reach their full weight, and most slow growers will be closer to 18 months before plates closed. Huskymom09 is an expert on this, I believe she explains a lot of that in the conformation thread, it is a long thread, but I recommend reading it, especially the posts of huskymom's. Like I said I will not be of any use to you on the harness, but maybe on his growing aspect. |

| I don't see Mylo getting over 55 lbs Dave, I honestly don't. Kohdi is at around 58 lbs and he's only been getting about half the exercise he would normally get because it's been SO hot so even he could probly weigh a little less. I would put Mylo somewhere in between Mishka and Kohdi weight wise when he's older so that'd be at about 50 lbs max. |

| Weight isn't really a good indicator of size where it comes to harness fit. My main leader males both weigh around 53lbs and yet both wear some of the largest harnesses in the Taiga line- You should take your dog in and fit the harness to his body, which realistically will still change quite a bit over the next year to two years. |

| Thanks @MiyasMomma and @Artic_Wind! Yeah he's been a super slow grower from the start. My girlfriend and I have always joked saying that it seems his fur isn't on the slow grow side lol But yeah it's cool I'm not the only one that can tell that he will probably max out at 50lbs, which has always openly been my prediction. And I have seen through that confirmation thread before but never in detail now I will and I've never thought about measuring his height but as soon as I so I'll post it! |

Hey thanks for chiming in! Now I really want to measure him then, and I don't know if there is anywhere over here where they sell Alpine Outfitter harnesses to try on. So I suppose it's better for me to wait it out a little longer cause those AO harnesses are awesome. |

| If you go to Alpine Outfitter's site they will have a how to measure your dog for custom harness fits chart. |

| Alright so here are Mylos measurements: (My girlfriend is busy so I had to attempt this myself with squirmy Mylo thinking the tape measure is a game lol)
Neck: 14-15 inches Chest (Mid-Section): 24-25 inches And for fun I measured his height: (from the shoulders) 23-24 inches
