Yup, that is big for a husky. Mine was 59 pounds when we adopted him at 12 ish months. 10 mos. later he was 63 pounds. Another 10 mos. later at just about about 2.5 years old, he was 73 ish pounds. About 24-" at the withers. He's big - I like it, I can scratch his ears and stroke his fur without having to bend over - makes it easier to train not to jump on people

I personally did sit and stay, or you can use down and stay. Be firm and reward. If he moves and tries to jump, do a uh uh and another sit and stay. Consistency is key. Welcome to the forum and Rowen is a very handsome guy.

I've slowly been eradicating jumping up from my son's pup. What he wants is to be noticed and attended to, so when he approaches me, I make him sit. If he sits, I lean over and scratch his ears, rub him, make a fuss over him etc. If he doesn't sit, I turn my back and don't acknowledge him. He's getting the message...though you wouldn't know it from the pile of muddy paw tee shirts I have to launder
