If she's happy in there, I think that's all that you need to worry about Did she mess in the crate again those last two times?

I honestly think it's less the divider, and more that you took the water bottle out. If she was drinking while she was in there, she's a puppy. She can't hold it that long and she probably messed herself and made herself REALLY upset.

I would keep doing what you're doing As long as she isn't screaming and she's happy, something is working Every dog is different!

Cage has been clean and dry the last three times now without the divider. Diahrea is still gone snd shes only pooping in the morning and evening and its SO MUCH easier to predict.

So if I was to leave her with a peanut butter treat, it would be ok not to leave water? Or maybe just leave her a tiny bit?

I never leave water in a crate because I don't want my dogs get full bladders when they are in there and have accidents, and my dogs are adults. So that would especially hold true for when you're potty training a puppy. As long as she's getting a good supply of water and there is no dehydration issue then I would not leave water in the crate at all.

Sounds like what you're doing is working so I wouldn't rock the boat and mess with a good thing.

I agree with Val. Mine don't get water cause the two of them love to throw it around, but I also don't want them getting full bladders. They really don't mind And mine get peanut butter kongs all the time in there

Hi all...

Well things are going better. The diarrhea seems to be gone. I'm feeding her 1 to 2/3 cup of food with a tbl of plain yogurt three times a day. It's gone in less then 60 seconds. I read somewhere where it said to feed a dog as much as he can eat in ten minutes. Good greif shed eat a whole bag in that time. Shes been better in the crate too. No potty in there anyway. Still nosie though. One day she actually went in there by choice to take a nap. Cool! The biggest problem now though is screaming to eat. She throws a total fit when I try to feed her. I try to get her to wait in the crate (with the door open) while I dish it up. And make her wait there there and quietly. She doesn't get her food until she does it but man it takes forever! She comes out and screams and tries to jump on the counter to get to it. We of course are working on the "off" thing. I direct her back into the crate but the minute I turn my back she's out again hopping around like a wild thing. This is the only time she does this. She looks a tad thin but compared to the two other female huskies we've had her weight and height is right on and has been all along. Ive tried fixing her food when shes outside but it doesnt help in the slightest. Any suggestions?
