| May as well join in on the fun! Kennedy's Layla (formerly "Capella") is littermates with ccurran07's new pup, Caoihme. Can't wait to see these girls grow up together! So, without further ado ... 1 week  2 weeks  3 weeks  4 weeks  5 weeks   More to come! Can't wait to take her home!  (Photo credits: Kennedy Sleddogs, except the last one, which my husband took)

| Layla turned eight weeks old this past Monday, and we took her home on Wednesday. Here's a pic of her enjoying her new home and new toys!  |

| Layla is 10 weeks old now! Here are some 9- and 10-week-old pics. Nine weeks -- playing with her brother Atticus at puppy class  10 weeks old! This was the extent of her Halloween costume. I call it the "wolf-bandit" costume. She didn't much like the bandana but got a little more used to it throughout the day. She's getting so big!  |

| I know, right? Every week I swear they get a little bigger. By the time my parents come to visit with their 11-year-old Jack Russell/beagle mix next weekend, she'll be almost twice her size! |

| I'm a week behind but Layla was 12 weeks old last week. Here's the latest pic of her, enjoying her Kong. Used to be she would leave some of the kibble, hot dog and Red Barn pieces I stuff in the Kong but now she happily gets it all out and within 30 minutes it's licked clean! Pics from this week (13 weeks) coming very soon!  |

| Here's Layla as of today, at 13 weeks old! She loves her new toy that she got for graduation from the MSPCA's four-week puppy socialization class we attended. She's growing so fast!  |

| pretty adorable puppy you got there. my girl is 12 weeks old today. about how much do you think your layla weighs? my girl is probably like 13 lbs or so. when i weighed her last week she was just at 12 lbs. i hope my girl turns out to be a big girl but it seems as though everyone i ask about their 12 week olds were always bigger than my girl. lol just wondering.. i do love her little spotty face too |

| Thanks! Last time I took Layla to the vet at 12 weeks she weighed in at 12.6 pounds, which I thought was a bit low, though I'm sure by now she weighs at least 15 pounds. She definitely feels heavy when I pick her up! She goes back to the vet again next week so I'll have an update soon. You can get a good sense of how big your girl will get if you know how big her mom is. I'd say Layla's mom is pretty average size, maybe a little toward the higher end of the height range of the breed standard, but she's lithe so she probably weighs a little more than 40 pounds total. If Layla ends up somewhere between 40 and 45 pounds I'll be satisfied. |

| thank you! i think the breeder told me her mom is around fifty and pretty tall for the breed standard. i'll also be happy with a leggy 50 lber lol |

| I think I'm the only one who prefers my small petite sibes, almost cried when Link hit 50 pounds  I like em just the way they were supposed to be, medium working dogs! Layla is getting more adorable as she grows, love the hiking pic <3 |
