| Hey everyone! I just picked up my first husky this morning, her name is Aurora =) She is already amazing, super sweet and comfortable with me. I'm in Fairbanks and I picked her up in Anchorage (6 hour drive) and we just got home about an hour ago. I had the privilege of meeting her and playing with her at 3, 5 and 6 weeks before I picked her up. Which was really awesome to see her progress in such short time. I've never owned a Husky before so I'm excited for what's to come. I definitely take advantage of the outdoors Alaska has to offer (hiking, snowboarding, mtn biking, rock climbing etc) so she will be the perfect companion for all our activities to come. Here are a couple pics. First pic is right when I picked her up and the 2nd one is her right now, sleeping in her crate, YAY =) I'm sure I'll have some more questions and ask for everyone's opinion as time goes on. SO EXCITED!

| Welcome and congrats, that ruffwear collar looks huge on her but she will grow fast so take a ton of pics the next few months and keep up on the crate training! since you have a good yr till you can work her now is a great time to work on her training commands. Did you get her from a racing kennel? _________________ |

| Thanks! haha yeah it's a little big on her and it's on the smallest "setting". but it won't be long until I have to loosen it up to fit her =) There will definitely be many many, many pics to come, they are just so cute when they are puppies!
Ugh yeah I wish I could take her on adventures now, I can't wait until she is old enough to really get out there with me. I'm definitely starting on training commands now, so far we've just been working on "sit", little by little we'll get there with many more. I did not get her from a racing kennel, just through a friend of a friend. I got to meet the mom, dad and grandpa though so that was cool to see all of them as well. |

| Ah I burn with envy! She is such a little doll, a snugly doll.
I understand your urge to take Aurora places. I can hardly wait to take my boy everywhere and I don't even have him yet, Michigan winters (and I am sure same goes for Alaskan winters) are more fun with a snow dog! Are you going to teach her to pull or haul? |

| Sam- she is so fluffy and cuddly I love it haha. Yeah I can't wait for Winter to come again. I actually love the cold so I can't wait for 50 BELOW =) I think it'd be fun to teach her that and she'd have a blast. I snowboard though and don't ski, and don't like to ski haha so I'll need to figure something out.
Michael, thanks! Bodhi looks beautiful as well! |

| In your avatar pix, Aurora has what my family calls, "the look." As in, "Human, you are now under my control. You will obey. Resistance is futile." |
