Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! | Okay so the situation is that we just got a 9 week old husky puppy seems like more of a rescue though since we got her and she had ticks and has worms. She has been to the vet twice so we are getting those things taken care of right now. Well the issue is that my 1 year old Husky he got the chance to eat some of the puppies feces I know gross!!!!!!! but it happened XD I do not know if there were actual worms in it but since the puppy has worms there is a big chance it was infected. Should I take him to the vet to get tested, is that always effective? Is it safe to deworm a dog if they may or may not have worms. And he is on Trifexis every month if that makes a difference. |

| Here is info on trifexis:
http://www.trifexis.com/
Depending on what worms the pup has, your 1 yr old may be protected.

| Worms are extremely common in puppies. Pretty much ALL puppies have worms, whether you go to a good breeder or not. Amy is right, most likely your older dog is fine, just keep an eye on him and if you see any changes in his stool, or energy level then get him checked out. |

| Then your older dog should be fine, Trifexis works for those evil parasites. Good to hear. |

| Any time a new dog comes home the whole kennel goes through deworming WITH the new addition. |
