Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! Should we worry? Empty
PostSubject: Should we worry?   Should we worry? EmptySun May 04, 2014 2:30 pm

So our 2 year old girl, Kita, has been acting strange for a few days. She's always been a bit of a drama queen and a little bit of a whiner but the past few days, she's whining ALL the time. We chalked it up to her being needy because we recently had a baby (the baby is now 5 weeks old).

She's been a little jealous the whole time but the whining started just a few days ago. The whining sounds like her normal, needy whining not pain but my husband and I are a bit worried so we are going to call the vet tomorrow to see what they think.

My husband thinks she's lost weight. We just had her at the vet 2-3 weeks ago to get a heart worm test (negative) and she weighed her normal amount.

Other than the whining, she's her normal self: she eats and has her normal personality.

Now, she did get loose and had a bit of an adventure about the same time this behavior happened. She was away from us for 4-5 hours when she got loose but she was at a neighbor's house the whole time. They do have dogs but they seemed to take really good care of them.

Any thoughts?

What is she doing when she whines? standing up? moving around? laying down? Sounds like she could be sore from her romp in the neighborhood? Could she have been hit by a car? Also, is she spayed?

She's in all different positions - like I said, it seems needy like she wants us to do something for her or with her. I've tried pushing on her body and she seems normal. There's no whimpering. No signs of anything off on her body or her behavior otherwise. Her physical activity is normal - she's her normal playful self. No limping or signs of pain in any way.

Yes, she is spayed.
