| My husky is four and half months old and he has had random bouts of vomiting. I would feed him his Blue Buffalo food and a couple hours later he would vomit it up. Whole bits of doggy food, just inflated from moisture of course. He doesn't chew his food but tends to just inhale it practically.
It just doesn't happen every time I feed him. We weren't playing or anything either. He would just be chilling and wake up "coughing" up the food. So, yeah the vomit is pretty solid, I can pick it up easily enough. I also noticed there was his own hair in the vomit. Could he be sick? Coccidia? |

| Have you tried changing the food to see whether or not it is the food itself causing this reaction?
Coccidia usually just gives them the runs as far as I know. My Husky had it when he was young. |

| Maybe he's eating it too quick? I had to buy slow feeders for my 3. No picky huskies in my house lol |

| Did you just get your dog? If so then he might just be him adjusting to a new home. If not then it could be that he's eating his food too fast, I would try getting him a slow-feeder or hand feeding his meals and see if that helps. I believe other signs that he might be eating too fast are if he burps after eating or gets the hiccups. I would also advise calling your vet, just to see if they think that it's anything to worry about. Yukon used to throw up a bit; generally it happened either when he was hungry, motion sick, or when he just got vaccinated. (Sometimes it was an unpleasant mix of the three...) The only time he would actually throw up after eating was when he was on his dewormer, and that didn't happen very often at all iirc... Edit: Ninja'd on the slow-feeder option. |
