We're bringing home our new baby in about 7 weeks! Very Happy
She's 3 years old and is from a breeder up in northern Minnesota.
She just had a litter of 11 puppies and had to do a c section so they spayed her so she doesn't have to ever do it again.

I'm putting down my deposit tonight!

We're shooting to make the 4 hour trip December 23rd if her puppies are doing okay Smile

okay pictures! note she just blew her coat, hence her coat Laughing

Aww, congratulations! Karma is beautiful. How is she after both her surgeries?

Have you been able to speak to the vet who did her c section and spay? I only ask because this is very similar to how we ended up with Faith. Faith is a retired breeder who had an emergency cesarean section when she had complications during her delivery that almost cost her her life. The breeder we adopted her from told us that all was great but we talked to the vet who did the surgery and they advised us that because of the c section her bladder had actually fused itself to her skin during recovery somehow. They only knew about it because they discovered it when she went in for her spay a few months later. I needed to know this information because it is relavant and important if she ever needs surgery again or has a related health problem later in life, the breeder should have passed this info along but didn't. I'm sure Karma will be fine but I would strongly advise talking to the vet who did surgery on her just to be safe and get the whole story straight from the horses mouth.

Congratulations again, she'll be home just in time for Christmas! Has Embry met her yet? How do they get along? How old is Embry again?

No offense to the breeder at all because I'm sure Karma is a wonderful dog, but I'm shocked they let you put a DP down on her without having ever met Embry. None of the breeders or rescues would ever let me even consider a dog or buying one until they met Koda and saw how the two dogs interacted as well. I'm just surprised, but still super excited for you! She is just too cute! They're going to look adorable together! Very Happy

Good point on the spay, Val Smile I never thought of that! Makes me wonder if I should call Koda's neuter vet before they get rid of the old records....
