Yes, she does have spunk....in spurts! She is a TOTAL snuggle-bug and would steal belly rubs, couch space and bed space whenever she can!

One of the mentor's at sleddogcentral.com emailed me back with a few tips on how to get your pup to pull....so here it goes:
We start off with something behind her with hubby walking next to her...
...so she get's used to 'something' behind her following her...
...then, we let her go ahead, still pulling something behind her...
...and we add a little weight to the plastic kiddie sled...
...and now she's running with the sled still behind her...
...and hubby drops back even farther behind...
...she's now pulling a small amount of weight behind her on her own...
...and she was done by the time she got to this point and wanted to play with the other dogs running loose in the park.
I think it went ok for the first day...next time, we'll a 10lb barbell to the sled.

New game to keep Ginger challenged. The cups are really hard to remove so I had to turn them upside down in order for me to keep her interested in the game.

LOL! Yep...but the cups are really hard to get out. It doesn't come out if she paws at it, and she can't get it out with her mouth and if she loses interest if it's too hard. I'll turn the cups upside down if the hidden treat is small and a little more flat than the carrots I had in the video.

She is a big girl! 60 lbs! I asked our vet and she says she's just right! She's 'short and stocky' as our vet says, and '...she has a big rib cage, and she has a nice wasteline.'....she's also VERY fluffy right now so that makes her look even bigger. I have to giggle whenever we give her a bath....

I sent this picture to Camp Bow Wow, a doggie daycare I sometimes take her to, for a photo contest in January.
She won! I'm so proud of her
The caption read: 'Happy New Year!...now where's my treat?!'
She's really good about doing what I ask of her, but she ain't gotta like it all the time and she'll let me know in her facial expressions! LOL!

Nope, but she sat there long enough for me to fumble with the camera a little while, and take a couple of pictures! The whole time she had that look, and the whole time I was just cracking up!

thanks! we do this at every feeding too. she has to sit or lay before i put her food bowl down, and then she has to wait for our command 'Take it' before she can eat. I'll walk away and go wash some dishes and she'll still be waiting. I have to credit Cesar Millan for this one...
