I just anxious :p don't know why but i really wanna see him grow already haha. I guess seeing him everyday kind of blinds us to the fact that he is growing. Cain is only 12 weeks old so i guess i still have time to wait for the growth spurt, how old is Nanook?

Lol yea you have a bit of time. he's 19 weeks and about 30 lbs, but each puppy is an individual and different. My wife thinks we saw a spurt around 12 weeks. I'll have to take a pic of him now so you can see the difference. I have a link in my Sig that has some of the photos I've taken of him. might give you an idea?

| Yea I'll definitely chek them out Cain has obviously gained weight just from picking him up he feels heavier but for the height I should have recorded him when I first got him. You're right I guess haha every puppy is special and different.
Good luck with the biting I still deal with it, but it has improved immensely from the first day we got him |

Before you know it, he'll be a whole lot bigger, lol. I didn't really notice Lucian growing either. But in the 6 months that I have had him he's gone from a mere 7.5lbs to almost 50lbs. He doesn't look like a puppy anymore, and he's losing his soft puppy coat.

Vegeta is only 13 weeks so he's still a little guy but I noticed a considerable size increase at about 9 weeks...went from 10 pounds to 15 pounds almost over night and grew about a inch and a half....craziness

All of these are great kind of gives me an estimate of when he'll have his growth spurt. I only notice his weight because I like weighing him but considering he's not a little ball of weight I guess he is growing otherwise he would have just gotten chubby instead of bigger haha

I find that when Yuki got chubby or stocky, soon after she would have a growth spurt. It was almost like she was preparing for it, then got taller and redistributed the weight out

Now that I think about it that happened to Cain around 10 weeks he got stocky and almost over night he seemed normal again maybe he's had a bit of a growth spurt already!

Definitely, it's a real hassle, but he progressing nonetheless every time he bites I put him in a time out in the bathroom and wait 2-5 minutes then take him out. I figured I can't ignore him because he automatically finds something else to entertain him.

I really didn't notice Karli's growth til I looked back at her puppy pictures and realized how small she was when we first got her. We can tell when she has a growth spurt because she grows into her ears. Then they get bigger again and she has to grow into them again. But she's going to be on the smaller side I think, my hubby keeps asking when her head is going to grow lol.

As far as the biting I had that nipped in the butt by 14 weeks. I have several kids in the house and didn't want to her play bite one of them too hard. I taught her "easy" since huskies tend to be rough and mouthy when they play and anytime she would get too rough I will put my hand up in front of her face say easy, praise and treat every time she listened. She automatically knows now she isn't allowed to put her teeth down on anything except her toys! Shes 18 weeks now and all I can notice is her height, she's gaining on my neighbors 70 pound lab and her tail is super fluffy now

Okay, well I'm digging up an old thread, but I'm curious about Dizzy's current state of being. He's 9.5 months, and I'm thinking he may be starting his last structure spurt. On 12/1 at 9 months, he weighed in at 47 lbs. Since then I've noticed some maturity things happening, and in the last week or so he is sleeping a ton! Usually he would mess around and cause trouble for a while after our morning walk, but now he goes back in his crate and curls up. He does the same thing after his lunch time walk. He's active when I get home from work and around 8:30/9 we take our last walk. After our evening walk, usually about 45-60 min, he puts himself to bed! He's super mellow inside, but a typical wild man husky outside. So basically he sleeps all the time! Is this normal during this time, or worth a vet visit? Aside from being passed out all the time, he's his normal self.

I would love to know when a growth spurt happens. I feel like Samoa is not growing fast enough. She's seventeen weeks and is seventeen pounds. Since I got her she has been putting on about a pound per week. So every week she gets older she gains a pound. At eight weeks it was eight lbs. At ten weeks it was ten lbs and so on. I even looked up a puppy growth calculator and saw that it didn't seem accurate. I highly doubt my husky puppy is only going to be twenty six lbs as an adult. Has anybody else had small puppies before? How much did they weigh as adults now? She's healthy and happy but seems ridiculously small for her age. Her mom is fifty lbs and dad is like eighty or something. Just wondering :-)
