We went to a dog sled race today and yesterday. Simon was exhausted on the way home and made a little nest out of our stuff and passed out.

Simon in adorable! I love his eye color and am totally jealous! I was hoping our red pup would have green eyes, too (and be like me, a red head with green eyes!) It's neat to see it on another red pup though! I can't wait to see more pictures!

I am trying to take a lot of pictures of his face so I can go back and see when it looked like when he was younger. But it has already changed so much. It almost looks like he is going to get a bar/line mark to the tip of his nose but that could change.

My mom has taken to calling him Mr Potter because of the glasses.

That was one of the things I decided to do after seeing the huge change some people's puppies have over time. Achilles hasn't changed too much, but there has been done definite changes (nose bar extension and such).

I've been wondering about bringing younger dogs that aren't competing to a sled dog race. There's one coming up this Sunday that Layla's breeder is competing in and we'd like to go. It's an hour and a half from us, so of course we'd have to bring Layla, but I wouldn't go if we wouldn't be able to bring her. There are "fun" classes like puppy and senior 1-mile classes, so there will be younger dogs around Layla's age there, so while we won't be competing ourselves I'm sure it's OK as long as she isn't a distraction to the competing dogs. Plus, I know Layla's breeder would love to see her again! And since you were able to bring Simon to a sled dog race, I'm sure it'll be OK. I bet he got a kick out of seeing the big dogs pull!
