| The only greasy cats I've seen are the ones that are too fat to clean themselves and/or they're on a bad food. Grain-free really helps with that I notices. Once I started buying the cat food the cats coats all got way softer and cleaner, less dandruff and shedding, where my mom always bought the cheapest food. Although I'd also be super grossed out if my cats slept in the litter box xD |

| im definately not a germaphobe by stretch of the imagination, i let blu take naps in my lap lick my fingers after eatting a snack (things like popcorn chips wings... stuff like that) kiss my face. i clean once a week (do things like laundry etc as needed though) i have a few friends who are super ocd about this stuff and when they come over they freak out if there's dust on the kitchen table.... my out look is "hey, im a single dude im as clean as i need to be" and if they are so bothered by it they can clean it themselves i sure wont stop anyone. ;D
However on the flipside my grandmother not only finds dogs to be complete and utter germ/dirt factories but she doesnt understand the point behind having a pet... her thinking is if you want companionship go get merried and have kids and leave the animals outside. so when me and blu where staying with her for a week she was a wreck the whole time. i remember coming home from being out with the dog on the beach all day and she had unpacked all of my luggage and was vaccuming all the dog hair out of my cloth's before washing it (i have a "thing" about other people handling my laundry.... i wont even take a blanket to the dry cleaners). i also cought her trying to hit blu up with a lint roller when he was shedding one time... had to of been the funniest thing i've seen so far.... him sitting there with a smile on his face, and her with a lint roller and the look of determination in her eye. xD
Anyway i guess what im trying to get it is there's people on all sides of the spectrum but if you find dirt to be a problem for you... then maybe you shouldn't have a dog let alone a husky, dirt is a part of they're lives and it will become a part of yours like it or not. |

| Yeah, my cats eat wellness grainfree, so maybe that is why no grease. Also, they are pretty lean since I exercise them. I noticed too that you can almost always tell dogs that eat cheaper food too as they do feel greasy.
About people of different spectrums, I noticed I am pretty indifferent to all dogs issues and most can be managed. Before getting a husky, I tried for about 2 years to get a mastiff. My fiance' is pretty content dealing with hair in the house probably as he grew up with chows. However, each time I almost had him agreeing, he either saw or heard of the drooling. I think I could probably manage (though I'm better with dealing with hair) as I love mastiffs so much, but he just couldn't stand the thought of a dog drooling all over the place and us having to keep drool rags onhand. The nail in the coffin was when he went by a buddies house and he showed him the drool stains on the wall that don't easily wash off. Back to looking at hairy dogs that don't drool I went. |

| Mainly when I'm talking greasy in cats its in terms of bathing them. Cats are naturally more greasy then dogs and the groomer I work with adds dawn soap when bathing cats because they're more greasy naturally then dogs.
My hubby is crazy about the hair. I grew up with dogs, so it doesn't bother me but he hates hair (even mine lol). He doesn't like it touching him and he vacuums all the time and I'm just like "what are you doing?" He also can't stand the smell of poop, so potty training was mostly my job. He's better now and he loves the box-o-karli that we have from when she was blowing coat. It was just an adjustment as he's never had an inside dog before. |
