Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

Ok, so I have a $100 REI gift card, plus right now is their member appreciation sale, one regular priced item for 20% off. You would think this would be the ideal time to buy something, but I can't think of anything we need! We need to get crossbars and a ski rack for the Forester, but going through other sources is going to be cheaper than REI, even with the gift card and such.

So I need suggestions for something to get. I ski, Anthony snowboards, so snow gear is always good. Basically, I'm saying asking to shop for me and give me suggestions of fun things!

I know Jenn, there's something wrong with me. I think it's the fact that there's so many things to choose from that I can't pinpoint any one thing. When I don't have any money is when I find things I want.

I would love to buy some more boots, but I think Anthony would kill me if I bought another pair of shoes!

REI is a dangerous, dangerous place for your wallet.

Get one really high quality piece of equipment. I'm starting to build up my backpacking kit for example, I get one big thing every month or two that should last me years and have me set for next spring.

I've just gotten a rain shell and boots...pacific northwest essentials.

Edit - if you dont have good hiking boots, do that. They're really good at helping you find ones that fit properly, and the enjoyment factor of hiking is so much better when you have good boots.

Haha, thanks so much for the offer! We just got a backpack, so we are good there. I'll have to see what other kind of dog stuff they have online, there's not that much in our store.
