Hi all, I am a new Husky owner and have a few questions if anyone has any idea or opinion please let me know! First I have a lil boy who will be 10 weeks old tomorrow. He picked me out at 8 weeks old and only weighs 8.6 pounds as opposed to his bro's and sis who are around 16 pounds. I am worried about his weight and have him now on Blue Large Breed puppy food but he has not gained any weight. My vet said he was just going to be small for his breed and to feed him Science Diet but that has corn in it and I was trying to stay away from that kind of food. Any suggestions would be awesome. Ty soo much!!!

My only input would be that huskies (all dogs for hat matter) tend to grow at different rates. We brought our pup home at 7 weeks and she weighed 7 pounds. Her siblings were about the same. 16 pounds sounds a bit heavy to me at that age, but again, growth could be different. She has grown steadily, most recently weighing 30 pounds at about 5 months. I wouldn't worry about it and see how he continues to grow. Maybe wait another couple of weeks to see if he has put on any pounds.

Ok I will keep that in mind. The other concern I have with him is he has a lazy eye. Is that common in this breed? Neither one of his parents did.
