Hi Guys

im new to this forum. I have a male siberian husky called KODA he's coming on three in december. Im also looking for some advice? I wanna know the best site to get a rig or a scooter ive been looking on ebay and so on but cant really find any that are going cheap. So if any 1 knows that would be great. Also have another issue my siberian husky love to pull like mad. the only thing that kind of worked was an easy pull leash and does take quite abit of strain off my arms, but recently i got him a decent harness thinking this would work but really has'nt.

Oooooo and i dont know how to add people on ere so feel free to add me till i get the hang of things

Welcome John,
I moved you post to the welcome mat Smile
Koda is a hansom looking boy. i am sure we have a post on pulling you can read, but our boy Jack is a puller as well and we use a pinch collar on him for walks. when we hike i use a harness under his pack and i have found carrying the weight up inclines slows him down some Wink
im not sure where to look for a sled but im sure others will chime in.
feel free to ask as many questions as you want and chime in on others questions!
Jenn

welcome John Smile
Koda is stunning Very Happy

for a rig, I know of two sites that sell them
http://www.snowpawstore.com/
and
http://www.scootmountain.com/index.html

with the pulling, might want to try a canny collar, or a halti head collar. they're wonderful and help a lot with the pulling.

Hey John Smile Koda is gorgeous (I have a John and a Koda in my house too!). Welcome to the forum!

I get all my products for sledding/pulling etc from Alphine Outfitters. I'm not sure if they ship internationally, but I would definitely email and ask. Their customer service is great and they might be able to work something out with you. They sell both scooters and rigs.

For the pulling, if you are patient, I would take him on walks and stop and make him sit everytime he pulls. It will take you 30 mins to go around the block, but it eventually works. However, the canny collar is also a great suggestion as well as a pack with weights. Smile

no it's a head collar. it's very similar to the halti head collar, but the halti tends to make the dog uncomfortable and rub on their nose, the canny collar is better made and padded.
