2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. NJ/Tri-State Area Husky Breeder Empty
PostSubject: NJ/Tri-State Area Husky Breeder   NJ/Tri-State Area Husky Breeder EmptyThu Aug 22, 2013 4:48 pm

Hey guys,

New to the forum, well new to posting on the forum, been scouring the pages for months learning all I can from everyone here. I am currently in the market for a Siberian Husky pup to join my family. Does anyone know of reputable breeders in the Tri-State area, specifically NJ?

I am not opposed to rescues at all, in fact I was working with A Beautiful Life Animal Rescue in South Carolina to adopt a pair of husky puppies that they saved from a kill shelter. However they reversed their decision on my adoption 2 days before the puppies were supposed to be transported because I said I would prefer waiting an extra week for them to get a follow-up exam from their vet that had been treating their digestive issues and did their neutering. Apparently suggesting that they keep the puppies for an extra week was unacceptable and not in the best interest of the puppies, if that makes any sense. They did not even give me the chance to accept them on the originally scheduled date, just yanked my adoption out from under me and will no longer respond to my calls or emails.

My only issue with a rescue is that I am looking for a puppy 3 months or younger. I have experience with training a Siberian, but only raising one from 10 weeks old. I have not dealt with a older Siberian that had a rough upbringing, was neglected or had behavioral issues so I can't say I'm confident enough to believe I can correct their issues. It's for this reason I want to find a breeder, because finding a rescue at that young of an age is extremely rare around these parts. But if anyone knows of a rescue with young pups, I am open to that as well. If not, any info on reputable breeders in my area would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry for the rant/ramble. Just wanted to give some background info, sort of my introduction to the board(I know it should prob be in the welcome mat section, sorry).
