Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.
This is odd simply because I have had her since she was 7 weeks, I first started noticing this behavior about a week ago when I was cooking she was behind my feet and I slightly moved backward ... she sounded like she was running full speed on her toenails and falling all over! I also noticed her do this with her toys, she will be looking at them ... walk near them then skitter away like a ghost just touched her. Never have me or my boyfriend ever struck her or startled or yelled at her. From day 1 it has been all positive reinforcement and I honestly do not have one complaint about her ..She has been 100% a fantastic cooperative puppy and has brought us tons of happy! My only guess is that maybe she is just getting taller and clumsier ? LOL because she is growing and growing... also our kitchen floor where she plays the most is hard wood .... ... her nails are not over grown I trim them every three weeks .. but i do not want her to have any bad feelings if that may be the case.. if anyone has advice i would HIGHLY appreciate it c:
Oh one more thing, she is not fearful at all, she is infact the opposite ! EVERYONE and EVERYTHING is her friend, ... bees ..bears... man with a huge bloody knife lol .. she swims so well you would think she was a seal .... perhaps i should just fill my kitchen with water? LOL ... here is a little video of her
omg I WANT TO HUG YOUR DOG .. those little white eyebrows lol, perhaps it is just a goofy husky thing ...She is very confident and does not freak out if we both leave for two hours she does not have any anxiety ... maybe she will grow out of it but i gotta admit it is pretty adorable .. only sometimes i feel like (omg people are going to think i beat her or something!)
Haha! She loves hugs. I find it really adorable, she'd do this to my brother too but she's really scared of him. I can tell the difference of her scared version of this and her play version though.
I was thinking maybe she is just respecting my bubble and trying to stay out of my space especially while all the food smells are involved but then i caught her doing it with her toys! like they were all haunted ... the play version of your dogs skittering is beyond adorable!
I don't think this is something to worry about, I can't say Orion does it but my mother has a 9 month old Briard pup who does it all the time and that boy isn't afraid of anything! It is hilarious to watch, he will just be sitting calmly then all off a sudden it's like he gets struck by an insane amount of energy and he has to run away as quick as he can lol and that kid just hit 40kg he really gets momentum going when he moves!. He also does it with his toys - he kind of sidles around them all cautious then bolts with his feet skidding everywhere like they're gunna get him  I have seen him do it with Orion too, if Orion is sleeping Wallace tries to sneak up on him (Que James Bond theme music) but when he get gets close he has this "Oh Shit" look on his face and tries to get away as quick as possible before Orion wakes up and chases him!
