Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. | So a while back, I posted a thread about keeping my husky puppy from running across our pool cover. Then he started pooping on it. We (still) can't figure out what to do about it! So finally I suggested, let's just keep the pool cover open, he won't swim much, he's a Husky! My other husky, Brooks, refuses to go in the water even though she is a great swimmer and super fast.
This is what happened....
3 of my 4 dogs: (The labradoodle only goes in pool if retrieving a ball/bone) Penny is 7 months, Jago 5 months

Anyone else have huskies that just LOVE the pool? And go in just to swim laps by themselves? Jago will go in even if no other dogs are in the pool! Just swimming around. |

| LOL! Mine is obsessed. Anything that has to do with water, I can't keep her away! It is raining here right now and she just tried to get in the pool for the 100th time today |

| My Watson will go outside for the bathroom and then 2 seconds later come running inside sliding around the corner since he's soaking wet from the pool. He shakes inside and then runs back out and hops in the pool. My other boy wont get in the pool because he can't wade into it. The steps freak him out. I always want a beach entrance for him, because he loves getting in the lake and river. He more so likes to go in and lay down to cool off. |

| Totally off topic but you have a beautiful backyard!
Our pool is above ground, so thankfully Mishka hasn't decided to jump into it from the deck. He loves to play in water and is fine just playing in his kiddie pool when I fill it up. _________________ |

| Tika is impossible to get out of the pool. Rip is impossible to get in! Tika has actually learned that my bathing suit means swimming and get super excited when I get changed. |
