| Bella and Jasper are having issues with these tiny little flies, you can barely see them usually until they land on the poor pups. I dont know if they are getting bit by them or if their just annoying but when we go out for a potty break they really get to them. The flies are going straight for their groin areas and Bella is already a little manic about her girly parts since shes in heat and wants nothing near her. Shes constantly dropping her butt to the ground hard and licking then trying to go back to enjoying being outside but its not working cause this damn little bugs wont leave them alone, Jaspers not fairing much better their in the same area on him and the two dont even want to go outside anymore they run down potty and want back in between the heat and flies. anyone know of something to get rid of the annoying flies? My mother was told to fill plastic baggies with water and a few coins or peices of tin foil and hang them around the door and porch outside, sounds like bull to me but has anyone heard of this before? I have to bathe them outside tomorrow and I sorta dont even want to, the flies were worse when we let them get wet while power washing the other day. any suggestions are appreciated! |

| I would say k9 Advantix II. That stuff repels everything including mosquitoes so it should work on flies as well. I use this on our dog and never see any bugs near him. |

| Oh geez! hmmm I found this on a website, maybe try one or both?: http://pets.thenest.com/home-remedy-keep-flies-off-dogs-6084.html
Certain essential oils have natural fly repelling properties. Idaho tansy, geranium, sandalwood, lavender, rosemary, and lemon essential oils are all known to repel flies naturally. To make your own essential oils spray, dilute five to 10 drops of your preferred essential oil into a 32-ounce spray bottle of distilled water and shake the bottle well before applying.
Avoid getting spray into your dog's eyes, nose or mouth by using a cloth or cotton swab to apply remedies to his skin. Never apply essential oils directly to your dog's fur or skin without first diluting them with water since pure oils can irritate the skin.
Apple Cider Vinegar Enlist the help of apple cider vinegar in your battle against flies. Apple cider vinegar is a natural fly repellent that you can apply topically to your dog or add to his food and water. Since most dogs don’t appreciate the taste, though, your best bet is to dilute apple cider vinegar with water 1:1 in a spray bottle and apply it to your dog’s ears and face. |

Im having a hard time deciding what to do because i cant really use topicals with my nephew all over the dogs constantly and we want to try the oils but many are not good for pregnant women to be around and my sisters like 7months pregnant so we're cautiuos on what to use around her. |

HAHAHA right? I have been seeing this product floating around the forums very frequently lately. I'm going to get some for Pongo for his digestion issues and him dying the grass brown It's like in My Big Fat Greek Wedding, except it's not Windex that fixes everything it's apple cider vinegar! |
