Sheba is black and white and that girl is SCARY smart. The way she sits and looks at you, you can just see the wheels turning in her head. She always has such a wise look on her face. She refuses to do anything obedience wise until she has calculated in her head if the means (meaning listening to me) is worth the end. But when we are out on walks for instance, she is on sensory overload and get stressed very easily. It's almost like she freaks out because she can't see/control what is going on around her; but that could be me projecting human emotions on her.

Ares is my foster grey/white. That boy... Love him, but he is SO DUMB! He always has a just..empty look in his eyes and he will like, run into a wall and then look around extremely confused wondering why he bounced off something. But, he is always content with a rub down and he always has a huge smile.

I'm not sure which I prefer more. I love how Sheba is always thinking and is always watching, but I love how happy go lucky, care free Ares is.

Either way, they are both wonderful Sibes and I love them both dearly Smile.

Ha! Kelsey- your comment about Aresrunning into walls and wondering why he bounced off cracked me up- that is so Zelda! And afterwards she will just lie there smiling with such a blank look on her face- but she is completely thrilled with life! If Vixen ran into a wall she would find a way to destroy it for it's insolence!

I have two reds these are my only huskies..  Blaze my copper is very very smart or so I see it in his eyes.. He seems to understand alot of what we tell him or at least trys to.  He is very independent keeps to himself and won't come when in the house if you call him he also came from a BYB>

Kerian is our rescue and when we first got her we felt she wasn't very smart didn't act like it but in the years time we have had her smarts has came thru.  I believe in the beginning she was just trying to please us (didn't want to go to another owner).

I think huskies are very smart my other dog was boxer and GSD mix she was a real smart dog loved her to death She live for 16 years.

both of your girls are gorgeous! I think a lot of Zelda's problems have to do with the environment she was raised in before we got her. She was crated all day long and her owner worked 12 hr days, 6 days a week, so I don't think she had much interaction to learn anything. All she knew how to do was sleep, eat and poop! She is so excited about EVERYTHING now, when we go for walks it is like a trip to the circus for her! She is a little older than Vixen but Vixen acts oh so mature by comparison, wheras Zelda still acts like a silly little puppy most of the time.

Nope definitely do not agree.  Balon (my red/white) is incredibly smart and catches on to things very quicky He knows all the tricks sit, stay, roll over, down, leave it , give, back up, he'll go back and forth between your legs lol.  (well except housebreaking that is lol, he was 8 months old before fully housebroke ).  Loki (my black/white) is also very smart so far!

Dragon (all white) is very good at figuring things out (he has pulled books off top bookshelves- ones in the very middle at that!) and he also knows when he is doing something he shouldn't and as soon as I yell his name he slinks off behind the couch because he knows he got caught. He will wait until we are out of the same room to sneak behind us and eat the cat's food and does it quietly so we won't hear. He is very stubborn as well and will not listen to any commands if he's not in the mood, but bring a treat out and he is command central.

Lol, nicely done! Yesterday, Zelda killed her first chicken. I explained very loudly and firmly (ok, so I yelled and waved the dead chicken in front of her) that she was not allowed to eat the chickens. Zelda stared at me with her tongue hanging out out and a big goofy grin the whole time. And when I was done yelling, she made a lunge for the chicken. Argh. Vixen, who witnessed the whole affair, ducked behind the tree as soon as I sarted walking towards her with the bird. Since she diid not participatee in the killing I simply held the bird out and said "No!." Today she refused to even look at the chickens when they walk by, while Zelda is still intent on her next victim. Prior to this, Vixen was every bit as enthusiastic about chasing the chickens. I think perhap the disparity between the two makes Zelda seem all that more ditzy. As for the chicken, well I can hardly blame her. They do taste good.
