| Hi all, Just posting here to the welcome mat! My fiance and I just recenlty got a husky and named her TItan, She is only 4 weeks old, our vet recommended getting her after finding out what the owners had been feeding her. We have wanted a Husky for a while now but never really had to time for one. We decided to start looking and found this awesome puppy! She has been eating very health on some blended up puppy food mixed with a little water. we have bowls they are just a little big for her right now, so we have been using these. Well thanks for any advice in the future and im sure ill post here a lot in order to share the growth of our puppy with other husy owners. Thanks, Andrew |

| Welcome! Titan is absolutely adorable, and so tiny!
With a pup being separated from it's mom and siblings so early, you will have some socialization issues on your hands. We have several members who have dealt with this, so there is lots of support for you here. Be ready for bite inhibition issues, and read up on our puppy biting threads.
What exactly was going on that your vet recommended taking her so young? _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | The owner of the liter was feeding them spaghetti with sauce, hamburger, and all. I didnt feel this was right as i have read husky diets are really strict for the most part. I made a quick call to my vet and she said she would recommend us getting her and getting her onto puppy food instead.
My sisters and parents all have dogs, little minpins, all vacinated and playful. We have been getting them together as much as we can so Titan can have a good healthy life.
Im not sure if her being around other dogs will help as much as being with her own liter, but they play around as i sit there and make sure no one gets too rough.

| Holy crap, absolutely think you and your vet made a good decision. Wow, the stupidity of that is astounding, and yes, huskies have a tendency to be very sensitive to food. How is she doing on the puppy food? Any issues with diarrhea? Keep an eye out for that as she gets older, it is very common for sibe puppies. We've been working through it with Shadow, and went through it with Ghost 2 years ago.
I think the interaction with the minpins is a good thing for her, they will teach her good doggy manners and help socialize her. It's not quite the same as being with the litter, but it's definitely the best option you have at this point. Getting her in obedience training as soon as she's vaccinated will help a lot too. Good luck! _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. Good luck! The first day she was having trouble with the puppy food, we bought some soft food and she liked that, but it gave her nasty farts and diarrhea. We called the vet back up and she said to take the puppy food and blend it adding water, we have been doing that since then and she has been eating really good, about a half cup a day! I think Titan will love her new home, we have moved out schedules around to be home every 4 hours and she has yet to have an accident! |

| Adorable! You are doing all the right things My only suggestion would be to get some vitamin E in that baby, start protecting her and boosting her immunity. I think it's great that Min Pins are your socializing dogs - I hope it teaches her to respect little dogs |

| That is so sad...
At least your vet is with you for every step!! I would definitely add some vitamins to boost her fragile emiune system.
Good luck with her! |

| Where would I get said vitamins? Also went to my parents house last night and Titan found a toy she liked so we took it home with us and she loves it! Im guessing its because my parents dogs have played with it so it smells like other dogs. Now she sleeps with it plays with it cuddles with it like its just another dog. We had got her a coller the day before we picked her up and it is way to big, but i was playing with her this morning and put it on her. |

| yes we definitley do, but just doing what is best for her. She is starting to see a little better and look up at us which is nice. When we first got her we thought she might be blind. Her eyes just arent fully developed. |
