| ..........Tough one, No it is not! Finding the best dog food is harder than this problem! When someone comes into your life, and has been there less time than your dog, I hope you tell him not to let the door hit him where the good lord split him. I have had a million people ask me " what they should do" honestly, if he/she doesn't love animals and you do, that is a problem, you can't give yourself fully if you can't be happy. If the dog makes you happy, then how will you be happy if your new boyfriend wants him gone? You can't, better go snuggle with your wonderful husky and look for love else where! Just been dating this boy for 2 months and finally I let him meet Lucian. Lucian was skeptical and he is never like that around strangers, he's usually all "hey pet me, come on please" that was the first bell, the second was the guy was pressed against the wall for fear Lucian was going to shed on his new outfit, Please I own like 2 sticky buddies and a the small hair vacuum. Is the big guy scared of a wittle bitty hair? The guy told me later down the road that he would be Lucians replacement, Muwhahahaha, this guy just opened a whole new door, it is called smartass BI:0H! Peace out bro, later down the road you better find a body guard, and tell him to watch your back. Nobody messes with my babies! The human child or the Fur Child! |

| Ha ha, wow. Yeah, that wouldn't fly with me either. Luckily the guy I've been seeing recently is cool with dogs. In fact, I met him at the dog park. |

| i'm 37 and been single most of my life and always had dogs in my life and always will. for me my two girls are like my kids and i'm sorry no one is going to replace them. if i meet a girl i really like and she tells me it's either her or the dogs......my next words will be bye!
if a girl doesn't like dogs or like having dogs inside then she isn't the right one for me. no one is going to kick my girls out side.
my girls will always be here for me no matter what and i'm going to always be here for them....

| Its ridiculous for him to be worried about hair or expect you to give up your dogs. My hubby is a bird person, where I grew up with dogs he grew up with birds. And don't get me wrong, birds are great but they just aren't a dog. No matter what you do, they can't be like a dog. And I had to explain that to him. We got married knowing this about each other and he realized that I was sad and depressed and spending a lot of time at the shelter. So he started going with me and within two months we were looking at getting a dog of our own. And he loves Karli. They are like two peas in a pod, I swear! But no, I would never let anyone make me choose between them and my baby. She's comes first (besides the hubby lol.) |

| I told this before, but it bears repeating. I was walking Bodhi in an unfamiliar neighborhood and a guy stopped to talk to us. He looked sadly at Bodhi. He said he missed his husky, who was the best dog he ever had. He said that his wife made him get rid of it.
Apparently the guy went on a week long trip. He told his wife how much exercise the dog needed. But she "was too busy" to even walk the dog. For a week. So the dog destroyed their couch. When the guy got home his wife said,"It's him or me."
I was thinking, "Buddy, you really made the wrong choice!" |

Match made in heaven, girlfriend! My boyfriend has been a "conversion" in the making. He has become LOADS more responsible and he is learning why I love my dogs at much as I do. At first he was actually jealous of them, but after two years, he loves them . |

| Come on yall, are you really denying one of the foundations of relationships in our culture: you're really great, now what I need you to do is change Seriously though, my dog is as much a part of me as my height, my tattoos, and my love of hockey. A critical piece of the whole puzzle. |

| Back in the day.. lol, I wouldn't even consider dating a guy unless he liked dogs / animals. I'm actually not very close with the couple of friends I have that don't have / love / "get" dogs. I had to tell my uncle we couldn't make it to my cousin's BDay party because we couldn't find anyone to watch our puppy.. and my cousin got traumatized by a puppy jumping on her and stealing her dolly when she was very young, so she screams/cries when she sees a dog and they haven't done anything to help her overcome it. He actually sighed at me, saying "oh, you dog people" and gave me grief about not going. >_< I really felt like saying "oh, you reproducing human people" or something. I met a boy one day, a friend-of-a-friend that happened to share my gym class - I had restrictions and he somehow was off the teacher's radar - I basically got to walk around the track every class.. and he accompanied me. ^_^ We talked a lot, he liked animals, had a variety growing up - including Rats which was a big plus. Shortly before he asked me out, my one beloved rat passed away and he understood. He asked me out and I said I had to think about it - lol. Well.. 11 years later now we've been engaged for 10 years, and he has put up with quite a lot. Many times he will say he doesn't think another animal is a good idea but that gets tossed out the window when they're right in front of him. We've ended up taking in 3 pathetic stray kittens.. now cats. He only expressed dislike of my rabbit I was given when we were first dating, he held a grudge for 8 years because she peed on him a couple times lol. But a year ago we bunny-sat for a friend and I missed having a bunny so he brought me to a breeder one day and bought me one. ^_^ I brought home a Bichon Frise from work that was going to be dumped by his owners, with the intention of cheering up my mom after her dog passed and he somehow ended up still being our dog technically. We've been through many rats, 5 at once at one point. I just agreed to take in a Rat that was going to be put down because she was no longer of use to a lab. I was given 2 hairless male rats a while ago, my fiance isn't fond of male parts or hairless but he still talks to them lol. I was given 2 dwarf hamsters once that someone didn't want anymore.. and when they passed away I missed having small critters, I did some research and ended up getting 3 Gerbils. He really bonded with my GSD who was 3 when we started dating, and was very supportive when he passed away. I surprised him with Cadance on his B-day, Feb 13th of this year, and he cried tears of joy. ^_^ Someday, I will have another GSD and we both want a Corgi. So, have faith... some nice guys do exist lol. |
