My Orion has howled since we got him, it took him awhile to work up to a full throated howl but now at 4 months he has it down to an art form! He even gets what I call his power stance going - tail out chest puffed out and his head thrown back lol he is so dramatic and full of himself!

Dizzy howls for 10-20 min when I leave the house in the morning (I have a webcam on him). Its funny to see him go through all of his noises, then just decide to plop down and go to sleep.

I found this interesting. I just played videos of huskies howling, no reaction from Nanook. Then I played videos of wolves howling, his ears perked up. Then I played videos of Malamutes howling and he started running around and jumped on my lap to watch the video. ... still didn't howl but he showed a definite preference. Lol

Heard mine howl once, (she is a little over a year now) it was when I left her. I have tried to make her howl, had other huskies howl near her, played vids etc, and she is still as silent as a cat. She is the laziest dog ever too. Maybe it is just her personality but she never makes any sounds other than a whiny sound when she sees the dog park. Lays around all day, I was sick for a week and didn't exercise her for the whole week (just potty breaks) she still laid around all day like a fat lab haha.
