| Our little girl is home. first week was everything expected. Long nights up every 2/3 hours for potty breaks. Only working half days so that I can come home a couple times for potty breaks. She's a mellow girl, cat's are coming around fairly well. Still a bit of a shock to the quite environment they enjoyed. I will be need help on some issues....PLEASE!!! She pee's fine on potty breaks, but pooping, only once. This morning had her out at 5:00, and 5:30, pee'd both times but no poop. Then when I let out of her crate at 6:30 she went and pooped in the kitchen. also in another spot in our den. Also not exactly hungery in the morning, and the 15 min after eating thing for pooping isn't exactly true. She ate at 7 last night, was out at 10:00, 1:00, 3:00, 5:00, 5:30 and then pooped at 6:30. Other wise She is great. Brought her to Lake Superior yesterday for the first time, loved the waves and sand. We will be in close contact we all of you. Will greatly enjoy any and all input. Will post a pick as soon as I fig. it out. |

| Congrats on getting her home. No idea on the pooping our adults only go twice a day, not sure about puppies. And I would hold off letting her wonder around sand and wather till she has had all her shots, she can get really sick. Any pictures? _________________ |

| I'm going to second what Jenn said about taking her to public places like that before she's fully vaccinated. I've had a couple of friends lose puppies to Parvo, and in my mind it's not worth the risk.
As far as the pooping, give her some time to regulate. How much are you feeding, and how many times per day is she eating? Our 16 week old Shadow has some interesting pooping habits, and still prefers to crap in the house if we let her. Just be consistent, and it looks like you have a pretty solid schedule going. Good luck. _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | will try and limit her to our yard, pretty hard to do with an active dog. But I understand the risks....I guess. She needs her exercise so how does one do this with out taking her down the sidewalk or in the local vacant lot a cross the street? She will get second set of shots tomorrow. |

| the things i hear with puppies is they play a lot but just for short periods. playing in the back yard should be plenty if you throw in some training or play with toys, mental training can sure wear them out! you dont want to push the puppy on walks longer then it needs to go. i forget the math but i think its like 5 min for every month it is old or something for walks and such, i hope someone chimes in on that. _________________ |
