Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. | It is getting warmer here in Iowa. We have a 7 month old husky. She has been a great addition to our family. Now that it is getting warmer she would not eat this morning. She has been eating normally other wise. Is this a normal thing. |

| It sounds normal to me.. Huskies will skip meals when based on how active they are. In the warmer weather they are not as active.
My adult huskies will skip the morning meal all the time. I would not worry about it they will not starve themselves.
Where are you at in Iowa ? We are from Iowa but have lived in Oklahoma for about 30 plus years. |

| I live right outside of Houston. It hasnt hit 90 yet this year but plenty of low to mid 80s days. I can barely get my puppies to stay inside. They LOVE being outside. There is a low spot in my yard which accumulates water when it rains and they love this area. They get soaking wet and muddy at least once a week. My dogs have eaten just fine though. Every now and then they will skip morning meal but its rare, maybe about once a week. |

| You should only walk your pup either in the morning or in the late afternoon. If you HAVE to walk your pup during the day, put your hands on the concrete for about 10 seconds. If it is too hot for your hands, it is WAY too hot for your dog to be walking on.
Also, walks should be shorter now then they are in the colder months. They will get tired faster then they would in the colder months. You don't want to push them until they get heat exhaustion.
I also set out a baby pool for my pack to play in and they love it. Ice cubes will also help cool your pup down.
Mostly, it's all about common sense. If it's too hot for you, it's too hot for your pup..especially a baby like you have Amber. |
