| Hello again, I was here before as "Tundra's Mom". Sadly we lost Tundra to cancer and other health problems in October 2014 ...and now, almost 7 months later, we have a new little Siberian pup! We have named him "Kiko". He was born on Fri March 13th 2015, we picked him up last Sunday (May 3rd) and he will be 8 weeks old this Friday May 8th. Since I am a proud mommy I'm going to try to post a couple of Kiko's pics here: Here he is before we got him, not sure but I think he is around 3-4 weeks here (?):Here he is a couple days ago, at seven and one-half weeks:His right eye is a pretty blue, and it looks like his left eye will be a green or brownish green. He is a sweet and gentle delight! So Hello again, and you'll be seeing us often! --Annie

| Sorry about Tundra your new puppy is gorgeous, I'm glad you decided to get another one! It's difficult I know but this puppy will bring joy back into your life and Tundra would be happy about that |

| Thank you Jimmy! Your's are gorgeous as well, I have admired them on this site many times (I browsed this site often even before I got Kiko). Thank you for the kind words. Yes, it is difficult, in a way I sometimes feel like I am "cheating" on Tundra. But then I tell myself that in fact I am really honoring his memory -- it is because of Tundra that I fell in love with the breed, and I agree with you that he would be happy about the joy this puppy is bringing back into my life. --Annie |

| Thank you so much Annie Ok, you made my eyes tear. I know that feeling very well, so I'm glad you keep telling yourself you are honoring Tundra's memory, because you really are. I look forward to seeing more of Kiko! He is adorable! |

| Awww Thank you Jimmy Hi Jane! Cool name for a gecko Your girls are beautiful! (both are girls?). I've always liked shepherds and I think silver huskies are so awesome-looking! Kiko's coat is apparently getting lighter -- from a light red to more of a creamy-buff light beige. He is also getting a light sable-brown color down the middle of his back. I'm not the best photographer, but I will try to get some photos in the right light to show his color a little better. |

| Welcome back! Kiko is adorable I remember when you lost Tundra too, it was right after we lost Shadow. We started fostering almost immediately because our rescue was desperate, and I felt the same way, like I was somehow betraying her. I actually cried the whole way home after picking that first foster up, but in the end I knew I was doing the best I could to honor Shadow's memory. We've since foster failed and adopted a bratty now 1 year old boy _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | Oh my! Thank you ALL for the warm welcome Meredith, so sorry about Shadow. Yes, you lost her on Oct 2 and we lost Tundra on Oct 17. I had that same feeling on the way home with Kiko ...I kept thinking shouldn't I be feeling happier right now? It was a bittersweet ride. Again, thank you all (Jimmy, Jane, Sara and Meredith) for your kind words and warm welcome. See you in the forums! |

| Annie, what an adorable little man you got. I have always felt getting another will help in the quietness of the house. A new pet is never a replacement, but merely a reemergence of joy that your previous gave to you. The quirks and goofiness of your new guy, will keep the memories of Tundra in your heart. There will be things that the new pup does that will remind you of Tundra, so for me it's a continuation not replacement. May you have many years of joy and happiness with Kiko!! |

| Awwww Thank you Renee. I do see Tundra in little Kiko ...and when I do, I "tell" Tundra in my mind. "There you are Tundra. I see you right now in this little guy." --annie |
