Forum Rules | 1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule. |

| tomorrow is the big day and im waayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy excited i will be picking up our 8 week old male i have done all my homework on the breed between this site helping me and stuff that i have read online and books which is weird because i HATE BOOKS but i wanted to know what i was getting into and i believe im ready. lol but nervous because this will be my 1st "offical dog" (we have a family dog) and i was just talking to a customer at work and he owns a female 1 year old siberian and said she is great dog but is a pain. i was wondering if there is any difference between males and females? is one easier then the other to train ect? |

| I don't find that one sex is easier or harder to train than the other. That is totally an individual thing and will vary from dog to dog and has nothing to do with their sex. I know just as many male PITA's as I do female PITA's! Good luck tomorrow too.
*whispers* Psst, by the way, I much prefer males over females since they tend to be more goofy and less independent (read: snobby) than females. But even there you will find exceptions! _________________ |

| There was just a topic on this recently, but I'm on my phone and can't link. Pretty much the jist; there really is no difference between males and femes. It's all the individual personality of the dog. The pup will pick you, I guarantee it! Good luck! |

I agree with Val on these statements. I have a female and a male husky my female is a bit of a queen bee she always wants to be in charge. My male is independent but a bit goofy in personality. |

| thats exactly what i read that males were goofy and playful and much more dependant which i thought was great because i have 9 high energy neices and nephews and myself who like to play and have fun all the time. our dog now is very indepentdent and not much of a player more of a lap dog when she wants to be (not saying i dont love our dog now, shes my bestfriend just expalining differences that iv realized) |

| Puppy classes are a great idea!!! It will help you and your pup to bond together and give you an idea of what to teach him. Plus its great mental stimulation and socialization for a puppy. |
