Hi everyone~ My name is Nisha and my boyfriend and I recently got (our first!) beautiful 7 week old husky puppy. We currently live in Orlando, FL! I'm extremely excited to meet new people and learn new things on here.
I'm not sure if there are any anime fans out there who watch Naruto. We based his name off a character named Kiba(fang) who is in a clan called Inuzuka(House of Dogs/Dog Mound). The character has a dog that he rode and used in combat called Akamaru. We were orginally going to name him Akamaru, but we figured a lot of people wouldn't be able to pronounce his name. The next best thing for us was the name Kiba

We got Kiba a few weeks ago when he was only 5 weeks old. The "breeder" could not keep him anymore because 'the puppies teeth came in so fast they were putting holes in the mothers nipples'. When I brought him home I instantly knew something was wrong with him. He slept all the time and when he was awake he was very lethargic. That night he had the worst diarrhea and it was just filled with worms. His tummy was also intensely bloated from the amount that was in him.Also, the lethargy was due to him suffering from anemia
We found out that the "breeder" never gave the pups their initial deworming meds. The next morning we took him to the vet and started his deworming and gave him meds for his anemia. After a day or two he was so bouncy and full of energy~.

The night we initially got him. He wasn't interested in doing anything.





Three days later after the medicine!!! His floppy ears were beyond adorable.
He deserves to be batmans sidekick seeing as how he's sporting the symbol




His ears stood up 6 days later. It was just the cutest thing ever.





My boyfriend is in a band and they were playing live music (acoustic) for a birthday party. He was their mascot during the show. My heart melted.




And this is a video of him today at 7 weeks~~ As hyper as ever. He was whining because there were dogs barking at him and he wanted me to pick him up XD

YES! I love anime and am watching/reading Naruto. Was going to name my foster link 'Kurama' or 'Kyuubi' for the nine-tails fox but the name sounded too close to Kumari and Yuki so it was a no go xD Also thought about Gaara but then ended up going with Link from The Legend of Zelda so it all worked out. Kiba is absolutely adorable!! I love the name origin, although Akamaru would've been awesome, and welcome to the forum!

Gaara is like... My anime soul mate ;^; I have so many plushies of him cluttered around my room lolol.

I can definitely tell you're an anime love/gamer by the name of your dogs!
It's a little sad that we didn't choose Akamaru, because we make jokes about riding Kiba up mountains. But in the end it was worth it because I don't have to deal with having to constantly correct people lol.

Yeah.. I have to do that a lot with Yuki surprisingly. They're like 'how's yucky doing?' and I'm like.. YUU KII. Or sometimes people just call her 'snow' because its easier for them to remember when I tell them the origin of the name (snow/snow princess from vampire knight). Yeah.. if I ever get another.. which of course I would never DREAM of (wink) a red with amber eyes would be Ichigo and a blue eyed red male would be Kyuubi and a black male would be Hiei, Hei, or Togo and a silver male would be Toushirou. Anime has so many good names to offer <3 but seriously. Kiba is adorable. Can't wait to see pics as the lil guy grows!

People saying yucky would drive me up a wall.. Who in their right mind would call such a beautiful dog yucky o__o. Ahhh <3 I was wonder if you got the name from VK. Such a great manga even though it was hard differentiating which character was which. (the hair and face on a lot of characters was just too similar.. And I decided not to watch the anime lol)

Anime has TOO many good names <3 It's always so hard choosing one. I don't think I could ever call my pets anything but Japanese names. If my boyfriend gives me the ok to get an Alaskan M in a half year/years time I will name him Akamaru. Then I can photoshop Kiba riding him. It will be beautiful ;^;

Awh well thank you. Yuki is a little diva though and has a throne made of ego so don't let her hear you calling her beautiful. And yeah it wasn't so much the manga/anime itself, as it was the meaning behind the name. I loved the idea of snow/snow princess. Sounds like a great idea with Kiba and the mal.. tehe XD
