| Recently on various Facebook conversations there has been a lot of chatter about a past Siberian- Innisfree's Sierra Cinnar. For those of you who may not be familiar, Cinnar was the 1980 Westminster Kennel Club Best In Show, he is the top producing sire in the history of our breed- producing 117 Am CH's, he had over 30 BIS/BISS wins in his lifetime, and can be found in almost every lineage of today's Siberian Husky. I can find Cinnar in all 3 of my Siberians that I show today, Denali has Cinnar in the 9th generation of his pedigree, the girls have him in their 8th generation. Though he was a very nice boy, unmistakably, he was also a known cataracts carrier. This being said, it was not common practice as it is today to have the eyes and hips of breeding dogs checked back in those days. So in light of these recent conversations, who is your most 'influential' Siberian husky. Who is in your lineage that maybe you didn't know was there? There is no 'right' or 'wrong' answer, maybe this is the Siberian that got you interested in the breed! If you can post a pic and/or pedigree it would be great and an awesome learning opportunity MBIS/MBISS AM/BIS CAN CH Innisfree's Sierra Cinnar For me, one of my most 'influential' Siberians has to be CH Monadnock's Pando- This dog literally became the 'face' of our breed, as he became the inspiration for the logo design of our parent club the Siberian Husky Club Of America- Another top sire of our breed, as reflected in the 1966 National Specialty of 103 entries 100 were his decedents. CH Monadnock's Pando-

| Great thread Lani,
I have to admit I have a weakness for the red and whites, so one of my most "influentual" Siberians on the show side is BISS Ch. Dichoda's Yukon Red, a grandson of Ch. Monadnock's Pando. Yukon was ranked the number one Siberian husky in the U.S. in 1967, and remained in the top five for the next five years. His owners Frank and Phyllis Brayton were among the first breeders in the country to X-ray for hip dysplasia.
Unfortunately, I can't find a picture of him online. |

| My pups great great grandfather CH Snoking’s Clean Sweep "Kirby" has so much Cinnar in his pedigree. All that inbreeding produced a very pretty dog though: |

| Cinnar can be found in 90% of all present day Siberians of domestic origins. He was a very popular boy after his Westminster win. |

| I would love to know what Lokis lineage is, But I have no clue how to find it! When he was given to me the owners gave me all the papers they had on him (.. That I know of, It took them a month to find and get me them). The only thing I have is a ACA registration application saying his sire is Blue Bloy Nanook and his Dam is Rusty Wheels Cherokee. His breeder is Lanae Jackson of/or sold to Nebraska Land Pets and sold to Pet City of Cheyenne, WY. Only thing I can find when I research that is suspected puppy mill. I also have a vet record paper that states his original name was Nokey not Loki (I guess the owner changed it because whenever they yelled Nokey he thought they were yelling NO and making him think he was in trouble). Then I have a AKC confirmation letter for companion animal recovery. (AKC CAR) - If anyone knows how I can find more on him, I would be most grateful. There was really no dog that got me interested in the Husky breed, I have just loved them since I was old enough to comprehend them.
