| Starting out, my husky pup is recovering nicely. I was hoping to jump in and join the forum with a "hey all happy post" but my 8mo old husky Harry decided we needed a trip to the emergency care hospital today. Up hiking this afternoon he jumped up on what he thought was a ledge on the side of a bridge. He ended up clearing the side barrier of the bridge and fell 25 ft, landing back side on the rocks below. He almost landed in the river to be swept away. We rushed him down the mountain and the 2 hour drive to nearest open pet hospital. Ended up with a puncture wound and a lot of strained muscles. Surprisingly no broken bones or internal bleeding. He's recovering well and the pain meds are making him drowsy. I'm so glad he's young and still bounces. |

| Thanks all. He's sleeping well. So glad the pain meds make him drowsy, but I have to carry him down the stairs to do his business. Reminds me of his first month at home...plus another 30lbs. |

| The waterfall is up the Sauk river out of Darrington. About 35-40 min away on mountain loop. Its a short steep hike from the road (probably 1/4mile at most). It definitely had a lot of water coming down.
Love the Willis Tucker park but havent been there since they opened up the new parking lot. |

If you're interested in joining us some time, be sure to keep an eye out on the Seattle huskies thread! We get together maybe once a month? Whenever it works out, really. We're planning a hike for May too. |

| I'm always down for a g2g or hike. So glad we have quite a few dog friendly ones around the PNW. I've got a tight work schedule this month but definitely am going to try making a few outings. Today, Harry decided that his bed was the reason for his discomfort and promptly took care of it while I was out for a bit. He's so proud of his accomplishment lol. The vet said to try to keep him from running and jumping around, didn't even make it 24 hours on that recommendation. |

| Awesome! It's always tough to get everyone together, life being as busy as it is, but it's always good husky fun Aww, he looks so happy with himself. That looks like a nice bed though. Or, looked, I guess? If you made it through one evening, I'd say that's pretty darn good. |
