Dakota and Denali went to their second weight pull this weekend, Dakota placed 2nd both days and Denali 3rd. I could not be more pleased with the boys, Dakota earned two more legs toward his Working Dog title and should place silver in the Region, Denali though he didn't get close enough to get any legs of his WD title could still place bronze in the Region Dakota pulled 640lbs on day 1 and 780lbs on day 2. Denali pulled 200lbs day 1 and 400lbs day 2.

Those pictures are amazing!! I love being able to see the weight progression! Congrats to both of your beautiful boys!!

That looks awesome! I'm glad you posted pictures because I've never really seen anything like that. I'm not sure if they do weight pulls down here in Florida or not. I'll have to look into it. You can see the dogs putting their all in. I love it!

I'm glad we were able to get some pictures! My husband ended up having to work Saturday, so we didn't get any pictures from day 1 but the boys did better day 2 than day 1 anyway so it worked out.

Lani, that looks awesome! Congrats to Dakota and Denali! I would have loved to do that with Saber when he was younger.

love seeing these pictures and them working! sorry but i have to ask, there is such a difference in pulled weight between the 2 dogs, is that do to age, size or experience?

I honestly think it's due to working desire. Both dogs were started at the same time, so neither has much experience being only the second event we've done. Dakota is much older, at 10, whereas Denali is 2....but Dakota is such a mommy's boy and people pleaser as soon as I said "yes yes yes, good boy" he dug right in and came to me. Denali took a bit more convincing he could do it, I think he'll get there it will just take him some more confidence building.
