Hi everyone, my new husky is a mix between a siberian, malamute and hound...he is currently 7 weeks old and has floppy ears. My question is do you think he will get erect ears or do you think they will remain floppy because of the hound in him?

It just depends. Some pure huskies' ears don't ever stand up..rarely, but there are some like that. I think they are usually up by 3 months, but don't quote me on that. I just saw on the internet the latest is 5 months, but I haven't heard that late before.

| He is so cute.. Looks alot like a husky/mal I don't see much hound in him.. As to whether his ears stand up or not I would guess it is a wait and see game he is very young still.

when i got my husky only one of his ear was half way up and around 5-6 months they were both standing up and i was so proud of him. my vet recommended not to play with his ears until they are both erected

I'd be surprised if those ears stand, those are a lot more floppy than the 'average' Siberian pup at 7 weeks....if they do stand there is a good chance they will be greatly disproportionate to the head. For a companion that's not bad, given his lineage it will add to his personality I'm sure.
