We have both Arya and Logan booked to compete in a show next month, Logan is our main interest from a show point of few as that is his breeding background.

We decided we would also enter Arya as she is not yet spayed to see how she might fair out , but tonight I noticed she has started spotting and at the start of her heat. The show is 3 weeks away would it still be okay to go ahead and show her.

It is perfectly fine to show a bitch in heat. Just inform the judge that she is in season prior to their exam so they don't get ick on their hand. Also bring a small towel to wipe her hoo-ha and spots if needed. Don't let her near the ring when the males are in or during the Breed judging (if she is not in the ring at that time) to prevent unnecessary distraction to the competing males- other handlers will be appreciative of your courtesy keeping your female away from their males so they stay more focused.

Lani thanks for the info , I was more worried about her upsetting the male dogs attending as she should be finished spotting well by then but will still have some swelling.
