| Hey, I am new the forum and the whole pet thing so dont mind me asking stupid questions. My puppy is 5 months old and he seems to not eat anything. Yesterday he didnt eat in the morning at 6am like he usually does he ate at 12pm instead and at night he only ate about half. And this morning again he didnt eat and hes is not playing and running around like he normally does. What could be the cause of that? If this persists ill go to the vet tomorrow morning. He already went to the vet twice, once for having diarrhea (with blood in the stool) and second for a rash in his ears and around his mouth but all that is fixed. Otherwise he is normal. |

| If it was me, I'd take him to the vet. Lethargy and lack of appetite could signal something wrong.
Is he drinking water at least? And how much are you feeding him a day (weight/cup amounts etc)? |

| He is 33lbs and I fed him about 2.5 to 3 cups a day. Just now I showed him a treat he got up followed me a little and well he ate it and then I gave 1 cup of his food and he ate it. And now hes playing with a chew toy, and yea he drinks lots of water. He seems a bit more lively now than before. Maybe I'm going crazy haha. |

| Siberians sometime choose to skip a meal. They can be picky eaters. If you have been feeding the same variety of dog chow, you might try something different. Add a few of the new kibbles to the current chow and see what happens. Gradually shift over to the new chow. We rotate dog foods every few months.
The lethargy would bother me - any change from the usual behavior. Yes, if that keeps up, take him to the vet.

I'd be careful doing this though only because you could end up creating a picky eater. If you change the food every time the dog refuses to eat, they start to think that once they get bored with something they can get you to change it. Huskies are smart like that. What is the stool like? That's usually the first indicator that something is up. If the stool is normal, and he's acting normal otherwise, it could just be the meal skipping thing, but if it persists I'd definitely see a vet. |

| Besides what has already been said, do you free-feed? It could just be too much for him my female only gets 2 cups a day at 36 pounds and 8 months. |

| I dont really free-feed, my schedule is 3 times a day at 6 am then at 12 pm and finally at 8pm, other than that I only give him treats throughout the day. I took him outside seems to be fine running around but I just noticed that his tooth is bleeding, could it be the teething?? |

| I agree that this could be too much for him. Try giving cutting him back to 2 or 2 1/4. Like 1/2 morning, 1 afternoon and 1/2 cup evening. I would be worried about the lethargy as well- skipping meals is a common husky trait but lethargy- not so much. And teething would probably be occuring at this age so it could very well be that a tooth is loose or ready to come out, I wouldn't worry about it |

| Thank You All, he isnt lethargic anymore but still being a picky eater, I think its his teeth because in the past 4 days 3 teeth have fallen out. |

| Constantly changing food creates a picky eater. Dogs are not usually that picky, that being said, one food may work better than another. Meaning mostly the digestion of it. I had trouble finding a food Balon did well on. Finally settled on BBWilderness. Other foods upset his GI system/ |
